I'm really sad after reading this piece. Anytime I read about the allegations of huge sums of the people's monies, to the tune of billions of dollars per year, that slip into the dirty pockets of wicked Civil Servants and Politicians , I could not help myself than to weep and grieve for Ghana.
People are glaringly seen(fiili-fiili, ido'ngani, as my Hausa friends would say) open- defecating in the middle of our so called cities, and in public, for lack of toilets. The question that I ask myself is how much does it cost to build one decent public toilet by the state?
It cost the wicked previous NDC government an average of some Gh500,000.00 to build a 6-unit classroom block for the people. And granted that a descent public toilet costs same, why do you think the people of Chokor, Odokor, Jamestown and Maamobi will rush to the beach to ease themselves if that butterball, Betty Mould and the fruitcake, Barton Oduro, had avoided the criminal payments made to Woyome?
Why would the people of Tamale use the Sakasaka stadium, the Kalpohi and Vitin school parks as 'shiting' ranges if Mahama had applied common sense to avoid authorizing tree planting on the high savanna dry lands, a semi-dessert , in dry season? How foolish and stupid if this was not meant to shortchange Ghanaians.
May the rivers gods - the Antoa Nyamaas, the Ayantas, and the Akonodis, if they really had powers as they claim( i doubt though) - deal with all these greedy buffoons, through whose evil deeds, the Ghanaian is suffering.
May God Bless people like Prof Asare who always speak for the poor.
