Howdy to Sister Souljah,
Arrogance!
From the same speech, we find that Mr. Lindsay was actually working for Kuffour's government. The question is, did Lindsay compete with anyone, including Diasporans, inside and outside Ghana, for the positions he's held in Ghana?
If so, with whom/when?
READ: "...One wonders if the minister’s attitude would have been any different had the guests been Chinese or Americans...".
WE SAY: Sure, there is an answer to that - The same "'whining' Ahomka-Lindsay" asked his audience to stop whining about Lebanese and their cornering of major markets in Ghana.
Its all in there!
It is as if there is even no opportunity fighting and controlling galamsey, reforestation, construction of infrastructure (schools, roads, bridges, sanitation, water, etc.) using labor intensive methods under the supervision of master technicians!
Peace!

Unfortunately, some of the children of the old rich also exhibit this characteristic of arrogance. A prime example is our present president whose legendary arrogance has been attested by those who knew him over and over again. Today, he is president and must suppress this arrogance under the pressure of diplomacy. Meet him in private and you will see. Unless age has mellowed him...

The guy was probably spoon-fed all his life and it's rather unfortunate NADAA has surrounded himself with his type, all because of political favouritism or party affiliation, a position he surely does not merit, judging from his statement.
In a country where one is compelled to pass through countless doors before one gets something done, why must its citizens, diasporans/foreign investors keep mute and accept or think it is okay when the system does not work? By his statement, he is condoning the ever existing wrong-doing in our society, which is part the national kanker President Akuffo Addo had promised to tackle.
Putting people of Ahomka-Lindsay's mindset in positions, i wonder if there would ever be a change in Ghana's day to day administrative management.

Diasporians always get the short end of the stick. Politicians seek our money when running for office. We give it to them in the millions and they get elected. We don't have the vote so we bear the brunt the of every tax policy. Just look at the huge duty we pay on vehicles we send to send to Ghana. It is more than the value of the vehicles. This is why we whine, Ahomka.

I see nothing wrong with wat the deputy minister said. He has been a diaspora before n did wat the diasporans are doing now he is advising to understand the system of GH so dat they can go about their business in the Ghanaian way. And it is true that they whin.instead of dem going through the right channel to get their business registered they radar want it in the shortcut way which is not good. Or do they think because they have their money they can come home n disturb us with that. I think the deputy minister told them the hard truth that they need to hear.

I like to think you have very little knowledge about what it takes to get anything done in Ghana. If I may tell you, there is almost nothing like right channel in Ghana. Everyone uses the back door, either through connections, relatives or by buying your way (bribe) . In the true Ghana there is no truth, honesty nor reliability from anyone. It is pure greed and selfishness.

Africanus,
Our sense is, our "'whining' Ahomka-Lindsay" forgot that he is actually a politician!

Ahomka Lindsay was a arrogant as Murtala Mohammed of the NDC. Ahomka should be booted out of office. We can not tolerate this arrogance.

I am shocked why Ghanaian are complaining about the truth. We have no patience to read or enquiry about anything, we just pick what we are told and start running with it. The deputy minister was asked to share his experience and not talking to party members. When we return to Ghana, we should stop whining becuase it does not get us anywhere. He actuall made 4 points and wish we could talk about the whole presentation and bits that satisfies both NPP and NDC haters. We all complain about anything Ghana even when we spend 1 month abroad. Anyone who wish to care and go and look for the whole presentation. Everyone is afraid to defend the truth for fear of being tag arrogance. Have a good day and let start having a mind of ourselves and politicians.
