Another logoligi talk by the president. I know they are people who will say "yea yea" and cheer the president on. In these days when are more concerned with hero-worshipping, any attempt to tell the president he's biting more than he can chew will be sent to the slaughter house. But soon we shall all bite our nails. Most of the wild promises will come to naught and trust the Ghanaisn, that's when the name-calling will start. So, for now, some of us will also join the cheer group but when the alarm bells sound, we will see who will shout "crucify him crucify him". French at all levels (expect tertiary) from September 2017? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha (somebody should count and stop me when it gets to ten thousand) !!!!! Where are the teachers?, where are the books?, where are other French teaching and learning materials? This president paaaaaaaaa, aba!!

why don't we make our major local languages compulsory.for example,every country sings her national anthem using the local dialect.then why should we Ghanaians use English instead.?

This act from the president has confirmed my faith in his ability to steer the affairs of the country. The idea is a noble one that is decades overdue. The white man, learning from God's use of language to destabilise the builders of the Babel Tower, employed the same technique to prevent us talking to one another. Boy did they succeed. The only way out is to undo this decades long damage by getting over that language barrier with our fellow black brothers and sisters who surround us.
If the president's plan is not realised this September so what? The thought that a sensible person is doing something about it is all that matters, not whether or not he is able to achieve certain targets. People should stop making excuses about burdening us with another European language, do they have a better alternative? Let's stop being inward looking and rather rally behind such a ground breaking idea.
