Is there currently a debate in Ghana on the hijab? I am asking out of ignorance, because I haven't heard about it. You made reference to it in your paragraph about Manasseh. I think that section would have greatly benefitted from additional explanation for those of us who are not familiar with the previous discourse you had with Manasseh.

Only adherents of a religion are allowed to have debates on issues regarding their belief only so long as those issues do not affect unbelievers. The attempt to impose the hijab on private and public institutions and even muslim women who want to have freedom in how they appear is what gives non-muslims the audacity to debate it. Your women can wear it at home and at their private business places, they may wear it in public if they want to. But once you begin to dictate to others to make changes to accommodate it that is where they will fight back.

We have accepted to be slaves to religious dogma rather than being true and pragmatic in responding to facts of daily life.
