The information of Ghanaians must be well protected, processed and used in the right way. Don't you get tired of unsolicited text messages and unwanted advertisements? You should wait til you suffer some injuries due to the abuse of your personal information and you will change your process of thought. I still believe the judge should have charged him more than that peanut of Ghc600.

  That would have been a big issue with the HMRC in the UK and Mr Kavanagh should have known better. But why blame him when the Registrar General's Office should've done this long ago.

  Ghanaians should change their sluggish attitude towards very basic legal requirements. Funny enough this department is been established for our own sake. To ensure we enjoy our fundamental right to privacy and its surprising to see fellow Ghanaian rallying against the right thing been done. The government should rather sit up and provide the right input to support this department. NDC did a poor work with this department. i hope Nana Akuffo Addo and the NPP do better.

  This means they were operating without permission if that's right. Kayayei were being taxed out of their pittance earned and the Management of this hotel gets a slap on their wrists because "commissions" had been paid.
  Hang the Registrar General's official or whoever was in charge of ensuring this.
  
  So you see why others will kick at others for being transparent

  Almost every business in the country collects data. Registration with registrar general's department should be enough. Data protection commission must deal with all agencies that leak personal data. Since most personal data are intercepted via the internet and post data protection commission must rank telecom companies, isps and Ghana post number 1. Followed by banks.
