My concern to the speech writer is that, almost all the best part of the speech was quotes from other political leaders; what is Nana's own in the speech? The President must own the speech and should have his own words to be quoted by future Presidents.
I would advise the President to fire the speech writer. The writer is not authentic and relies on copy writing others President's speeches. A good writer should make authentic statements for the President to be remembered and quoted by future Presidents.
It is too early for anyone to blame the President. The speech writer is to blame. No excuse.

I have almost given up on expecting a change in the near future, as the Ghanaians, from the illiterates to the so-called highly educated ones, they sell their yarns to are very gullible, as the cosmological level of the perception of the world is still at the primitive level. They haven't evolved yet from that, being mostly the children and grandchildren of illiterate peasants, goat and cattle heads, itinerant fisherman, petty traders, etc., whose world belongs to the Weberian substantive rationality. Their offsprings have been socialised to believe in such errant nonsense as spewed out by the likes of Bempa, Obinim, TB Joshua Heward Mills and the established orthodox churches.

The situation is getting of sync cos Mahama failed woefully to curb it and rather contributed to its continuation. Curbing it was the 4th wish in my Xmas 2012 hamper to Mahama.

"Fourthly, for heaven’s sake! Ghana is a secular state, not a Christian nation! Keep it as such and leave that God, God, God nonsense which you yourself is a cheerleader, following on the heels of the TB Joshua mesmerised late President Mills, out of the Castle! God,is claimed to be infallible, pure and holy,but same would create Satan whom every goddamn evil thing, and suffering of mankind,, in this world, have its roots pinned down on him.? Again why should God create people to LOOT and SHARE, at the expense of innocent Ghanaian infants-babies and kids who are dying of hunger and korshiokor in the hospitals. And this same God expect the parents of these poor souls to go through the pain of 40-day fasting and prayer, not forgetting the compulsory payment of that 10% thing they call tithe to some greedy pastors before some "dry manne"r can fall on the plates of these poot parents and Church Goers as well.

What is more annoying is that thsee Yesu Adom Praise Singers and their Pastors are liars and dishonest to the core. Ask them how they feel, and even if one is pennyless, dying hunger, the answer would be the same: Nyame/Yesu/Christ Adom, 3y3. Meanwhile he/she may be srarvig to death. At least we know that they also lie about their tithes on the altar. Yet they call me unbeliever because I don't pay tithe.

Yes I don't pay tithe because I cannot pay, say 150 dollars as tight every week or 600 a nonth, knowing very well that the same bible says it is a sin to lie. All sin be sin ! Intend of paying less and feel guilty I rather keep my money.

I go to church for the fun of it but not to expect anything from the priests who need my tithe in other to survive.

Now back to our earlier questions, we still believe the notion that God knows what is on ours is totally false. It is a myth. Else there will no more judgement as the scriptures wants us to believe. If so, then you are already judged from the first day that you were molded with clay and water by God since He knows your future. A programmed lobotomy are you if you think so.

Since there are synonyms for almost every word he could have constructed sentences that could convey exact messages. If he deliberately chose to copy, he should have acknowledged the source since it is allowed. But copying word by word is disgusting . I am proud to be a ghanaian because of the peaceful election but i am ashamed my president being a copy cat. It's only illiterates who would clap for this. But those of us who know the source of his speech are ashamed. With all due respect, I don't think Madam Akua Donkor (my presidential candidate) would want to be a copy cat. God help Ghana. NANA HAS DONE NOTHING WRONG AND ITS PERFECTLY NORMAL TO PICK EXCERPTS OF QUOTES FROM GREAT MEN, REFERENCING THE QUOTES TO THE ORIGINATORS DEPENDS ON HOW LONG THE QUOTE HAS BEEN IN THE SYSTEM. IN THIS INSTANCE THE SAME QUOTES WERE USED BY TWO AMERICAN PRESIDENTS WITHOUT REFERENCING THE ORIGINATOR IN 1912. THE TWO AMERICAN PRESIDENTS DID NOTHING WRONG AND SO NANA HAS DONE NOTHING WRONG.
