Anyway, your article has too many examples. The phenomenon they illustrate is too well known to all of us to need so many instances.

Nowadays some people in Ghana will even tell you it is not enough who you know. It's more important who knows you...

We can only improve our institutions with good leadership. Let's see what Akufo-Addo can do about the problem. He has four years to show us that things are changing for the better. He may not reach the goal within that time but it is enough for us to know that we're trudging on the right path towards that goal without faltering.

When people feel inadequate and insecure, their first reaction is to find a scapegoat. Ewes who by nature are VR- very reliable and hard working have therefore become the convenient scapegoat for many such persons. Yes,every tribe has its bad nuts and appropriate judicial system to take care such deviants. The Ewe judicial system was brutal and ensured 'probity and accountability.' You may have genuine reasons to hate Ewes but if you haven't already traveled outside you might have a better understanding when the Whiteman treats you like a monkey when you visit his country. Go read the poem Desiderata and you may see a reason to descend from your high horse.

Excellent article.This article is about my first experiences in Canada(from Ghana) in 1969.A lot of the petty stuff Ghanains sweat about are largely absent in Canada because of an accepted orderly way of doing thinks.
