  Let me assure President-elect Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP that should they allow Mahama and his conmen to grab any hydrocarbon deposits in the Keta Basin for themselves with that ludicrous family Swiss Africa and Pet Volta front (Mom and Pop robber baron deal owning 87% and Ghana 13%) so that they too can also continue from where they stopped with the Jubilee Fields and others, some of us shall organise an armed resistance against the so-called oil company and the regime. In fact, any regime in power that try to enforce that thieving agreement.
  
  After all, we have been on the coast and dealing with white men for centuries before the first Akyem king saw a white man! Our ancestors sat at the top of the peace negotiation table when the Gold Coast was being carved. And we were first to be represented in the LegCo by Torgbui Sri II aka Cornelius Kofi Kwawukume, before Nana Ofori Atta was coopted. And he wasn't there as a decorative piece but on merit.
  
  If some want to continue to be ignorant idiots and morons but persist in wanting to rule the country our ancestors sacrificed and worked hard to turn into the rich model colony under 60 years, let me tell them that some of us had had enough of the bad decisions, looting the state and maladministration! We shall not sit down any more and watch them plunder and loot like their slave raiding ancestors! Their idiotic neo-colonial mentality is worse than the mercantilist mentality of the pre-colonial era!
  
  Akufo-Addo should show us that he is indeed an educated and civilised person who is mentally liberated from the edicts of neo-colonialism, and not like that Hammond twerp. After all, he was once a pro-Nkrumahist. The struggle for the economic liberation of Ghana begins with adopting PSA NOW!

  Prof Lungu, I have been following your writing for a long time and have to admit I like what I read for the most part. You are a great man and good guy!
  
  Now, here is my issue with your article: Income generated from use of any capital or assets is often associated with main operations of an organization before any costs or expenses are deducted. REVENUE is shown usually as a top item in an income statement from which all charges, costs and expenses are subtracted to arrive at the net income. So, if revenue gives a global picture (usually before profit and loss), how can anybody receive 50% of oil revenue realistically speaking?
  
  While I think your $3.3 billion figure out $17 billion is a misnomer, that is not to say there hasn't been a loot or lot of waste in the Mahama and Kufuor administrations. I believe the revenue Ghana receives as a percent of net income is higher (perhaps in the forties). If you can dig up the the net income numbers, it would be more representative.
  
  My view is that that facts should always bear out the truth. Do you agree?
