Of late Ghanaians have resorted to using acid as a weapon to attack their opponents , loved ones and nobody has condemned this barbaric act . There has not been any public outcry against this primitive act . Our law makers , the so called parliamentarians do not even care to enact laws prohibiting this unconventional weapon . Will Ghanaians be more protected under a military regime which operates under articles or democracy that operates under laws . Again look at the many ritualistic killings that have become the norm with innocent people , children being killed for Sakawa and other rituals that the government is fully aware of yet still has not taken any action because government officials are also indulged in such practices . There are cases where the perpetrators of these crimes do confess publicly yet no action is taken against them . Why why. Is the country now under the spell of Satan that we should allow these things to be happening without any action by those in authority ? If ghanains cannot be protected against these evil acts then there is no need for these law makers . There are other forms of indirect ritualistic killings going on with people talking about them but nobody seem to care and people are now living in fear .Ghanaians need laws that will protect them against all these ritualistic killings and acid attacks . Our leaders must act now or leave the scene for those who can protect the citizens

This has nothing to do with the government plssss. How is it the fault of the government that one human being can look at another and pour acid on them. This happens one too many in Ghana. In fact in the whole Africa, Ghana is known for acid attacks. I say it's pure wickedness and should be given the highest sentence possible in the court of law. The government cannot contain human feelings. Pouring acid on another should be given a death sentence. It's toooo common in Ghana and It's quite Scary and alarming. Only in Ghana, boy pours acid on girl, girl pours acid on girl, etc.. ......pure wickedness

It is incumbent on the government to protect and ensure the security of its citizen through legislation. This is the one instant where the country's parliament has failed its citizens. Acid is progressively becoming the weapon of choice in committing crime. Its proliferation as a weapon of choice is because its readily available and easy to buy. I support the call for the government to restrict the sale and possession of this dangerous chemical. The courts should be empowered to severely punish with an extensive jailed term anyone convicted with crime involving acid.
