How can you Arthur Kennedy, an NPP politician, fix your lips, thoughts and key strokes to write about what America must do about democracy? The last time I read up on American history the American people had not sought help from Europe, Canada or other nations to help them overthrow a legitimately elected government and will not be the case even with president-elect Trump, a dispicable human being. The same cannot be said of the bomb throwing, tribal instigators and bootlicking NPP that did prefer to see Ghana remain colonised if they could not rule after independence or removed Nkrumah from office in 1966 by tribal idiots lacking the capacity for foresight and wisdom.
And if voicing opposition and dissatisfaction with the election of Trump as president is undemocratic then what do you call all the insults hurled at the EC, the president and constant war drumbeat by NPP fanatics even as the NPP pretend they know a damn thing about democratic values?
The lessons worth learning about democracy from Americans will somehow elude the NPP this and more times just as it has eluded the NDC; there is no room in true democracy for stealing directly from government coffers as Kufour and his band of NPP thugs did, what Mahama and his NDC is doing or all the killing and stealing under Rawlings and his band of killers. A democratic USA has tangible development to show the world; what has the delusional Ghana democracy touted by the NPP and NDC given Ghana? We remain a beggar nation, with the majority of Ghanaian homes going without pipe borne water, indoor toilet facilities and rationed electricity; nations are ducking from us when they see our leaders coming with tin cups in hand.

Yet another misguided comment from the no-regard-for-values political perspective of the typical Ghanaian elite; and it does not take much to discern the bias in favour of Trump and the GOP. Based on your argument, it would have been wrong for some Germans to protest the direction Hitler was going to take the German state based on the campaign of vitriol and hatred for Jews that catapulted him to power. Elections don't always end all genuine concerns about how power would be exercised in coming years by a victorious party. Trump had campaigned on a racist , misogynistic, and xenophobic platform. In a country that prides itself on pluralism and multi-culturalism, that would evoke genuine fears and disquiet in many reasonable minds; and when people have such concerns , they are allowed in democracies to express them. The unruly incidents are not right and should be condemned; but how and when the debasing of the democracy and its legitimately questioned outcome come from? The toxic, divisive values upon which Trump campaigned for power is the main source. For the first time, the democracy of the United States was being used to openly demonise and insult some of its minorities. Why would it be wrong to challenge the legitimacy of such a mandate if and when it is against the spirit of democracy and the values upon which the United States is [alleged] to have been founded? Obama did not campaign on such a platform, did he? So where is the sense in the suggestion that people did not protest his election and so doing so against a racist, xenophobic victorious candidate is wrong? And have you forgotten Trump's own denigration of the integrity of the elections and the threat that he would accept the electoral result only if it turns out in his favour? Have you also conveniently forgotten that it was Trump's campaign of bigotry and denigration of the electoral process that energised many racist groups towards violence at any adverse outcome for Trump? The integrity of the election and the US's democracy was compromised by Trump and his supporters before the elections. Some racist groups have rightly found a legitimacy for their ideology in his victory and have been planning victory parades in some parts of the US. Again, why would it be wrong for anybody to protest against the person and process that yielded such a fact? What did say to Trump (on these pages) when he was spewing all that nonsense ? Nothing, I suppose

Kennedy should show us what he wrote to condemn Dinald Trump's preemptive rejection of the US election results, should Hillary have won. If such arrogant, baseless rejection of the very system he now wants all to accept without protest is not debasing the USA Democracy, how then could individuals spontaneously expressing their disgust for Donald Trump's win marks debasing the same Democracy.

Kennedy ought to demonstrate a little honesty and fairness, even if he does not like the Democratic Party in the USA.

Meanwhile, if it were any African Nstion that elected a confessed P*ssy-grabbing addict for a President, the US GOP would have wasted no time to suggest cutting any existing American Aid to that Nation.

Such is the raw abject hypocrisy of the USA GOP that Arthur Kennedy should condemn. Besides, Hillary never intended to reject Trump's victory before the Elections. She gracefully conceded her defeat after the Elections. Why then is Kennedy charging the lady and the Democratic Party leaders to do anything to help Trump establish acceptance of his Presidency by those he intended to rob them of their chosen President?

Trump set his own standard for recognition as the President and Kennedy must fess up to it. No Democratic Party leader is known to be instigating the riots. Therefore, Arthur Kennedy should keep his twisted sense of correctness to himself. If he has any advice to offer anyone to uphold the tenets of Democracy, he should start with his fellow NPP leaders in Ghana and follow up with similar advice to the US GOP.

The hypocrisy of the US GOP on Democracy began showing with their devilish machinations to suppress the Black votes in the USA, and continued with the devious denial of Al Gore the Presidency in 2000, and the repudiation of the majority anti-Monarchical dictatorship by the Youths of the Arab Spring movement in the Middle-East. This FBI-induced victory of Trump in the USA Elections seals the indictment of the US on the charge of her hypocrisy and Kennedy ought to know better.
