It is even a callous thing to say and it's based purely on speculations.

The quotes SARPONG makes in this article do not constitute any proof that those quoted rejoiced at the actual death of Mills and even wanted him dead! You'll need much more forensic evidence to prove that and not even such evidence can say anything concrete about what is in people's hearts. Even if these guys rejoiced at the death of their leader, are they so stupid as to come out in public to say things that will give them away?

Let's stop such wild accusations. Such things tell us more about the accusers than the accused!

For those people arguing blindly and intelligence that we cannot gauge what people feels in their heart, I say what you feel in your heart is expressed through your actions and what you say.

If somebody says "I am happy today", can we gauge from his heart what he really feels? NO, but we tend to believe wholeheartedly that they are expressing their true feelings whether from the heart or whatever part of their body is not our concern.

When did it become a norm to do forensic studies about people expressing their feelings by examining what is in their hearts? If I express my love for a woman, we tend to believe it is coming from my heart so if somebody says somebody's death is a blessing, then we have to examine what is in his or her heart, people, get real. A lot of people in ndc because of political power were happy about President Mills death, that is not even in dispute.

These people are admitting freely that the party benefitted from the death of Mills. But that is not what you're saying, SARPONG. You are saying that these people are happy at the death of somebody who was their leader because the death benefitted them personally. These are two different things.

The death of Mills may have garnered sympathy votes to Mahama that made him win. It is this by-product of the death of Mills that these people are talking about as a thing that redounded positively on the party and its fortunes. That is why they can make reference to this in public.

SARPONG, you know that in our Ghanaian culture we do not publicly rejoice at the death even of our enemies. The NDC people may be wicked and selfish people as you claim but they know better than to publicly rejoice at the death of somebody who was their leader and not even their enemy. If they are happy that the man's death enabled them to win and keep their jobs, they will keep this in their hearts and not publicly go about saying this very thing (that they are happy that Mills died because they get to keep their jobs...). This is where matters of the heart come in where we cannot use forensic science to decide. But these people can admit that Mahama may not have won if the death of Mills' factor had not played in the political equation. And that is what all your quotes are saying. I don't see anything wrong in this line of analysis.

SARPONG, the votes were close. Akufo-Addo could've won too. If Akufo-Addo had won by a narrow margin, would you be here saying that NDC people are happy that Mills died? You probably would not. And the NDC analysts would probably be saying the party didn't benefit from the untimely death of their leader, or that the sympathy effect was not strong enough to make Mahama win.

SARPONG, I will make a similar argument if it is NPP in the situation of NDC with them benefiting from a sympathy vote.

Let's say Akufo-Addo dies tomoro (God forbid) and NPP pushes Bawumia to the top candidacy or nominates another energetic young candidate who really gives Mahama a fight, and Ghanaians sympathize over the death of Akufo and give their votes to NPP to win a narrow victory and the NPP are rejoicing over the turn of events, it will be callous of me to go about saying that NPP people are happy that Akufo-Addo died!!!

When your father dies you're entitled to inherit the cocoa farm. That is your right. You don't need any "sympathy vote" to assert your claim to the cocoa farm.

But in this situation, the death of Mills doesn't confer on NDC the right to inherit the government. They could have lost to Akufo-Addo. It is the fact that they did not lose to Nana as a result of the sympathy vote they got from Mills' death that they are talking of publicly as a blessing, not the actual death of Mills.

The crux of my argument is that even if they are happy within themselves that they get to keep their jobs because Mills' death enabled them to win, they will keep that fact secret in their hearts and not go about proclaiming it publicly. That's why I am saying these people may be wicked but they're not fools to go about saying publicly that they are happy that Mills died.

They are just making analyses of the political events, not expressing their real feelings which they will keep secret. So for SARPONG to say that their public statements are expressions of their joy at the death of Mills is just mere speculation.

As for Nduom's statement, it's just pure speculation. At least SARPONG tried to provide some evidence for his speculation. Nduom didn't even provide any evidence.

Idiot, the change of date of elections needs a constitutional amendment that you need two thirds Parliamentary approval. Fool, voting to pass a bill in Parliament is different from making a change in the constitution as the change of date of election required. You dumb fool is confusing amendment to the constitution that requires two third majority in Parliament than passing a bill like the RTI which needs just a simple majority and if Ndc wants to pass that bill, it does not need any Npp Parliamentarian to pass that bill, you dunderhead.

It won them souch sympathy. Your analogy of events is just not accurate. I'm not saying there is no sense in what u said but to conclude on those statements makes the analogy inaccurate to intellectual thinking.
You also knows that Rawlings never liked Mills after the man became president for failing to prosecute npp officials. Its a blessing in disguise does not mean they are happy thean died.
