Every intelligent Ghanaian would have by now figured out the diametric contradiction of Ghana's chieftancy system vis-a-vis the Republican system of government, that has stifled Ghana's development since independence.
There are three factors of production in economics; land, capital, and labour. The development conundrum Ghana faces is that, the peoples' elected republican government controls two of the country's factors of production, i.e., capital and labour, and the unelected chiefs control the land. These parasitical chiefs, some with no education at all, control the country's resource rich lands and use them to consolidate their vaunted power.
The uninitiated, unintelligent Ghanaian has no gumption, let alone the intellect to reason beyond his nose that the continuous support of the chieftancy system is in effect a complete capitulation of the country's development agenda. There has not been one single leader since independence, who has the balls to address the dichotomy of Ghana's land issue and development with the chiefs, not withstanding Kwame Nkrumah's lackluster, halfhearted approach in the 60s.
Let the backward and primitive people in the country continue to throw their weights behind the antediluvian chieftancy institution that has no relevance in modern day Ghana.

The power of the politicians belongs to us including the chiefs. we must take our power from the politicians now and they will find their levels.
Your words are powerful. God richly bless you.
