But I expected a crazy man to have written this article, not a woman. This woman is attention seeker and confuse. She started to write knowing not which direction to go. May I ask her these few questions:
1. So, if in the past women have been abused, should the status quo remain the same from generation to generation?
2. If what Ken Agyapong said is condemnable, shouldn't it be condemned?
Even if it is the first time Ghanaians are condemning such statement from a man like Ken Agyapong, what makes it wrong? Shouldn't there be a starting point for comments like this to stop somewhere?

On the substantive matter, while I condemn KA for his crude behaviour, the two main examples she cites are not comparable.

In the Afia case, she picked on him with insults and he responded. They both got into the gutter.

In this case,.Mrs Osei said nothing to.him. She's merely doing her work.

And that's the difference, Ms Forson.

Kennedy Agyapong did not just insult his victim but made a baseless allegation against her that she got herself appointed after exchanging sex with a big man which by inference could only mean the president. Only someone who cannot think properly will think like this.
Even if the EC chair insulted him or personally offended him in some way and he said these defamatory words in fighting back, it would still be wrong. How much more, as the case really is, the EC chair had not offended him in any way.
When a pastor preached to women with the aim to make them break out from nasty stereotypes that society had of them, that cannot be an attack on womanhood to be compared with Kennedy Agyapong's wild, baseless allegations. When a politician who happens to be a woman offends another by insults and she is paid back in equal measure, that is bad but it is nowhere near Kennedy Agyapong's unprovoked attacks on the EC boss.
Of course, when you look at Kennedy Agyapong's bad-mouthing of Afia Swazeneiger, it is equally bad but that is typical Kennedy Agyapong.
This man has proved himself very notorious in senseless speaking. He has no comparison on the Ghanaian scene and should be condemned by all well-meaning people.

Kennedy Agyapong's ridiculous cooments are but only a minute fraction of the bigger problem. I don't think he was just attacking the lady based on her gender. We all have been witnesses to his countless episodes of "I say my mind" without regard to the gender of his victims. Why is this so different? I believe that if Mr. Agyapong should be condemned, he should be condemned based on his outrageous and unnecessarycomments and not on grounds of whom it was directed at. That notwithstanding, I agree with Lydia Forson. If these activists are going to be "blue", I believe they should be "bright blue".

PICKING and CHOOSING to react to situation like this is WRONG. i am ONE of those against Any man who insult women, whether big woman or small woman, whether public figure or not, so long as it is a woman who gave birth to you. It is very very bad and wrong. Women need to be respected just as men. If one has an issue with a woman, go ahead and fight her, but not that far as Kennedy went. He did it first, did it second, did third and is still doing it. If most women were like him, in fact, i do not think That man would have been Born or even live long. Money is not everything. Being wealthy does not mean one can buy World. Money can only be everything to those who always think there is no God, hence they talk without reasoning!
