NDC take us as fools but we
are not small boys. We are not idiots.
Who says EU, World Bank or any contract cant be influenced?
Evaluators have a lot of discretion in evaluation and any powerful man especially a greedy bastardish Executive as Mahama can easily take a telephone and tilt the scales.
Mahama must simply admit his gargantuan failure, crime and recklessness & apologise and stop clutching at straws to confuse us.
The fishes in the Keta sea and the hungry antelopes in Gonja forest are not even impressed with this lame explanation from the executive.
Note.. the car gift is the tip of the iceberg which is immersed in Mahama cabinet's stinking cowdung.

As president, John Mahama really did not need this vehicle. But Mahama is at the core a very greedy person. So far he has been able to fool Ghanaians.
This is because he uses a lot of "front wo/men" to supervise his greedy actions. So on the surface, it quite difficult to tie him directly to corruption scandals.
But we all know--whatever happens in the dark--will be revealed. This is clear conflict of interest and Mahama should be ashamed.
His supporters can call it whatever the want--but the stain can never be removed. For the rest of his life--it will be noted here was a president who sold his conscience for a cheap vehicle: Ford Explorer.

He is indeed very greedy. I don't agree, though, that he has fooled Ghanaians. Ghanaians rejected him at the 2012 presidential election. But he used money and tribalism to steal the presidency. Atuguba, the president of the Supreme Court panel that gave the election to Mahama, is from the same North as Mahama. Mahama "settled" Afari Gyan with enough money to make him retire rich. And he promised the same thing to Atuguba, who has already collected part of his gain. After all that, Mahama was exposed by a gift of a car costing not more than $100,000! I mean, a mere $100,000.

What is in a name, one might ask? Why did the old Ghana Empire vanished off the face of the earth, only to be superseded by today's Ghana? Although history tells us Ghana Empire was rich, the same history also tells us it was a complex society. Though complex was not defined by the historians, but how complex?
What is in a name? Are we witnessing the Sodom and Gomorrah complexities such as what we are currently witnessing in the country today; boldface lies by our political leaders, debauchery, fatuous ingratiation for crumbs of power by Kwesi Pratt and others? Is Ghana the new Sodom and Gomorrah, and do we run the risk of extinction just like the Empire that predeceased us?
Is our country going to survive the next millennium if we continue to go this route where blatant lies and support for party sanctity are the norm? Our present Ghana definitely needs a saviour!

Sampson, you are wrong if you think Cameron Duodu "failed": OUR CONSTITUTION has defined ethics concerning accepting "gifts" offered to our Presidents. The "gift" should not exceed $200.00 worth, but certainly even "fake" Ford Explorer regardless of manufacturing date will cost more than $200.00, abi? Do you want to dispute that too like Omane Boamah did?
Second, the so called "gift" preceded the sole-sourcing contract offered to the "gift" giver, and that's where that "gift" morphed into BRIBE. If you still think it was a "gift" rather than a BRIBE, and we have MANY people who share similar thinking pattern with you in Ghana, then Ghana our beloved country is DOOMED forever, rather than "FREE FOREVER" as Dr Kwame Nkrumah would prefer to see it. You probably think the man who is ruling the nation is such a stupid idiot as not to know a crime when he sees it. If that is your opinion, then advise him to resign. If this happened in the USA, the President will not even have the pleasure of resigning. He will be impeached and disgracefully removed. Some comments should not be made. In Proverbs, there is a chapter that says, in substance, that when a foolish man keeps his mouth shut, he is counted amongst the wise. Maybe, you should learn from that chapter.

With the burial of the President's mom, Ghanaian should now demand accountability on this issue. Why would someone in leadership position accept a gift? Most especially, when the giver of is a beneficiary of government contract?
You cannot accept even a courteous gift if it is more than a defined bench mark -- perhaps 100 cedis. Even then you have to declare it publicly and donate it to charity. It is not acceptable to accept a gift of substance.
Perception is important. The president does not need such a gift. If so, why must he accept what he does not even need. Leadership and integrity are serious issues and leaders must set the tone through their deeds.

The vehicle was turned over for governmental use, and if you have information to the contrary, then let it out. An apparent avid reader like CD doesn't recall "caterwaul" from Tom Sawyer and side-kick Huck Finn?
Tsk, tsk, tsk!
CD stated quite lucidly that he's never used the word, not come across it as u claim.
Oga, It'd "shiver my timbers" to misquote the legendary and "awesome" CD.
This is his first paragraph:"A Nigerian friend used a word I had never # heard before - "to caterwaul".
