EC independent only means that " no interference of its work from outside entity as such any political parties. All polical parties should condemned the EC commissioner. What else are Ghanaians going to allow her to do next if she gets away with this change. If Gyampo's employers and students were to be nosing into his work and passing comments on him, he could probably have had similar comments as he passed on the EC. What has the change of the logo has to do with the electoral process? Yes she could be 'cheeky and trivial sometimes' as Gyampo opines but John Dryden says "There is pleasure sure in being mad which none but only mad men know."

Is the EC self-financing to the sense of being independent of the State? The expected core characteristics of the EC is impartiality and fairness and an understanding that the EC was created to serve the State so it cannot exist in a vacuum outside the State. I believe some of the statement of the EC boss reflects her misunderstanding of the EC as an instrument of the State, created to serve the people of Ghana through it electoral functions with impartiality.

She has every right to respond in a cheeky manner when people like Ransford Gyampo ran from radio station to radio under the guise of political lecturer yet a particular political party supporter trying to run down progress. Didn't our independence produce our cost of arms we use today ? And why shouldn't the independence of the a electoral commission produce its own cost of arms or logo ? Many years ago, Abraham Lincoln gave a speech at Gettysburg . The speech from such a powerful President of the free world was only 7 lines. The ignorance of the opposition took to castigate the speech, frankly Abraham Lincoln himself knew his speech would in a way condemn him but he gave it anyway, what happened afterwards, the insults and many others today are history, but the import of that speech, remains fresh and evergreen in the minds of every American born and generations to come shall never ever forget the 7 line speech of Lincoln. Let us look at the import of changing the logo to create the independence of the EC and all else shall follow. It is only by Declaration of Independence of the EC that many many reforms shall follow.

National colours and/or national symbols. And the new logo has none of these and still u guys are defending who.

Where is the nationalist blood of a Ghanaian found within all the WE who are happy to destroy our logo which highly showcase our national colours and symbols?
Is the EC boss not proving this allegation against her that she is not a Ghanaian?
This is not NPP-NDC matter. This is a nationalistic issue. Every individual actor is nationalist, this is more evident when one insults the person's nationality.
You have come to sit on the top seat of our EC, and the next thing you can do is alienate the EC from its mother state, blotting every triat of the mother in the child and you expect Ghanaians to be happy with you.
We are praud of our colours, we are praud of our national symbols as Ghanaians and we want to see them reflect in any of states instructions.
If Mrs. Osei is truly a Ghanaian, my IR discuss suggest to me that, she wouldn't down play on things that give Ghanaians their sense of pride in the interest of she being happy.
Ghana is not in her blood and she hates to see Ghanaian colours and symbols around her so then she want to create her own empire in the name of indepence.
Yes, that's it and she can give no credible answer as to rational behind the need to change the logo and burry national colours and symbols, therefore, she just want to be dogmatic and nasty to pass her head through.
But then,this also know, that:
