Can you, Eric Bottah, explain when the Eastern region realized it's last government development project? What were clear cut meaningful developments in the Eastern region that benefited all its citizens and not a few during the 8 year Kufour era, the Busia era and all government administrations since 1966? Yet in all those years since 1966 the people of the Eastern region have had representatives in government as a minority or majority party members. People vote to keep worthwhile representatives in Parliament; the people of Eastern region like any other region vote on tribal grounds irrespective of the lack of government bacon coming back to the region.
It's about time, the Sir John's, the fake and real Danquah name sakes, the Okoampa's and all the yapping so-called intellectual brigade of the Eastern region re-evaluate their dead spin tribal loyalties and let common sense prevail for a second.

Eric,do you expect the Kwahus, the Akwapims and the Krobos in Eastern region also to complain should the University be sited on Akyim land? We have Krobos in both Greater Accra and Eastern so, your argument that Ga-Dangbes have two Universities on their land is just a fallacy. One thing you also failed to appreciate is that each of the 10 Regions in this country has a natural resource which is beneficiary to the economic growth of this country. For instance, there may not be Gold or Diamond on Ada land but the chunk of salt(both for consumption and industry) is mined from Ada. Again, 60% of our natural resources are found in the Western Region. So Eric, you argument is very weak.Research into those areas properly and come back again. We would scrutinize it and make our final comments.

"Yentie obiaa", NDC. This is a good piece. However, if you are as weak as Prez. John Mahama, you will do the super powers bidding to stay ahead of time.
