>>> "That schadenfreude putschism kicked him out of office for gross incompetence, demagoguery, political ethnocentrism, and autocracy. Now that existential threat to Ghana’s national security appears to be no more. This political lemma is not necessarily true. As a matter of fact, the existential threat to the country’s national security is a latent one. It merely is waiting for a critical mass of factors for material expression."

And what in God's name is the name of that German author? Tell us, so that we read what the German scribe wrote.

Instead of introducing Youth Studies per se, I would welcome futuristics, ecology & STEMIC education, to inject futures, ecological, and STEMIC thinking in teaching our young ones.
To make our education system more meaningful for the years ahead we've got to emphasize science, technology, engineering, mathematics, innovations, & communications.

We have, by our elitist preferential discrimination, imposed on our Youths to choose between immersion in our old Traditional ways, and total detachment from them to embrace modernity which is largely epitomized by the Western Culture. A reasonable balance is needed...some mechanism to facilitate finding the dynamic equilibrium should be put in place. The most viable source of such facility is in our Education.
A little bit of neophobia is intrinsic with our ephebiphobia. But then we see how Religion's deontological dictates are often used by our leaders and elders to cover up our ephebiphobia. We indict the Youths when they are seen to brush aside any epistemic expectations from our elders who shoulder the responsibility to keep the Youths closer to home and our Culture. The tendency for the Youths to break the epistemic binds is then constrained with deontological precepts from Religion, and assignment of traditional roles, as would be drawn from family responsibilities, or divine commandments, say.
We need a balanced approach that is seriously woven into our Educational foundations. We can do better for the Youths to appreciate STEMIC thinking while maintaining a grounding in our Traditions. Such requires a constant update of our Culture to sift out those elements that are not conducive to the best development of the Youths and jeopardize their global competitiveness.
Long Live Ghana!!!
