So, we have serious reservations about the exclusion of Highlife as an award category in any Ghana Music Award.
It does not make sense!
And the absence of TV schedules?
That, we do not care much for. After all, how is it that the TV producers and their owners as not interested in promoting themselves, to make more money.
We imagine, that in part explains why many Ghanaians will rather watch foreign soccer than "Ghana TV" and soccer.
But seriously, that is a business for another entity to explore.
Here is some insight into the US - TV Guide (the bi-weekly magazine sold on store counters for many years):
READ: "...Lee Wagner (1910–1993)[6] was the circulation director of McFadden Publications in New York City in the 1930s – and later for Cowles Media Company – distributing magazines focusing on movie celebrities. In 1948, he printed New York City area listings magazine The TeleVision Guide. On the cover of the first issue was silent film star Gloria Swanson, star of the short-lived Gloria Swanson Hour. Wagner later added regional editions for New England and the Baltimore–Washington area. Five years later, he sold the editions to Walter Annenberg's Triangle Publications, but remained as a consultant until 1963.[7]...TV Guide is a bi-weekly American magazine that provides television program listings information as well as television-related news, celebrity interviews and gossip, film reviews, crossword puzzles and in some issues, horoscopes. The print magazine is owned by private equity firm OpenGate Capital, while its digital properties are controlled by the CBS Interactive division of CBS Corporation.[4][5]..." LESSON: Anytime you have a Private Equity firm own or control a business, reckon that there is a lot of money in the business to be had! The formula are exactly in those words.
