  Sammy u are right. Our leaders are thinking where to lay their hands on any available money to spend. Unnecesary contract to sign and take their kick back. Majority of them do not want to think about tomorrow. But when they misuse our resources carelessly to enrich themselves, they shd be ready to wellcome stroke, immature death, sickness, ..........if they dont change.

  Sammy, let me begin by commending you for making an attempt at emphasizing the importance of research in planning and charting our developmental course. However, we will be able to sell our findings and contribute to national development only when we undertake serious and above-board research that seeks to solve our problems. That calls for diligence and hard work on our part. I am sorry, but your write-up falls short of an article that was properly done. It lacks coherency and there are misspellings. Please take note of these and work on them especially as you research to your write thesis. All the best.

  Strangely, you appear to have missed professors who supervise student papers, and are naturally at the tip of the spear of the research effort, if they are worth anything.
  
  That, we submit, is most likely the missing link. Ghanaian professor as a group, are unable to apply theory to practice.
  
  They just do not produce!

  Sir, you are right on the money! Its patently ridiculous. We disrespesct our institutions, but expect outsiders to respect us.

  Sir, you are right on the money! Its patently ridiculous. We disrespesct our institutions, but expect outsiders to respect us.
  We should also ask why public funds are used to send government officials abroad for medical care, when the expertise is at home. There are few exceptions that justifies the practice of paying for officials to go abroad, when we are funding 4 medical schools. If its not good enough, they should be fixed. But for a public figure to show how important they are by having it published they they are going to England or elsewhere for a checkup, its absolutely ridiculous, and should be publicly frowned upon. Our Universities and other so called institutions of higher learning have become just places of employment with no accountability to the public that funds them.

  Well done Samuel.I really think its an area of concern.Researches done by students are now seen as mere formalities in order to complete school which shouldn't be the case.
