In the first damn place one will never find a school in the USA where the British pound and or the Euro is the preferred tender; the US dollar is the legal tender 8 the USA. So how did we get to a place in Ghana where all the yahoos with political connection and those claiming to be book smart sit around for a foreign currency to be the only acceptable payment currency at a school registered and operated in Ghana? There is a difference between buying goods and services from a foreign company, or to participate in a testing scheme organized for the benefit of those in Ghana to either gain entry into schools in those foreign countries or earn certification/diploma from the foreign institution. We cannot continue to be fools in our own country and expect other nations to listen to us on any international stage; we deserve better leaders and a better organized practices and procedures at the offices of the registrar general.

Great report!
READ: "...The Judge expressed her “profound dismay” with the Registrar of Companies for the "unbelievably reckless and feckless manner in which so many ventures are set up as non-profit organizations, with no mechanism for monitoring that their income is used for charity instead of as a scheme for persons to earn money without paying tax to a country brought to its knees by poverty."
WE SAY: Wow!

The learned judge - and this one is indeed learned - has clearly spelt out what things are wrong and what the brain dead authorities must do to correct the anomalies. But will they?
With the cedi falling so badly against the foreign currencies, thanks to the high demand for the latter to pay for goods and services produced within even Ghana, one would have thought the govt would have taken the sensible step to ban the self-harm inflicting practice. All they can think of is try to shore up the cedi with a lousy $20m!
