When did the police start to involve itself with Mankralo matters? The Regional House of Chiefs at Dodowa deals with chieftaincy matters and has no jurisdiction over matters pertaining to Mankralo. The Mankralo is not a chief. It is like taking a civil case to a criminal court for trial.

I wonder why a small town like Teshie can not come to a compromise with regard to chieftancy and other traditional issues. I come from Teshie, and it really pains me a lot that within the past 30 years, no visible development has taken place in the town. A lot of money due to the town is hanging within the Regional chest because is not possible to pay out through a particular chief or comittee.(the army camp, kofi annan center ect, ect) All those house eders are interested in, are the sale of lands. Currently there is no particular land available to the people of Teshie. The Mankralo according to traditional rules of Teshie, is the sole person who installs a chief, and in the absence of a chief, the Mankralo takes over the duties of the chief untill one is installed. The problem is within a house supposed to install a Mankralo, the OTWE WE, and 2 people from the same house are fighting over the stool.
