IT IS REFRESHING TO READ A GOOD PIECE FROM A SENSIBLE,ECUCATED AND FORWARD LOOKING UPRIGHT CITIZEN OF GHANA. I AM CONVINCED THAT THERE ARE STILL GOOD,REFINED AND FAIR-MINDED GENTLEMEN IN GHANA. ONE DAY SOON THEY WILL HAVE THE CHANCE,IN A FAIR AND BALANCED GHANA TO TEACH MORONS VALUABLE LESSONS. MEN LIKE JOHNNY WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO TEACH THE SCHOOL-GOING MINISTERS WHAT THEY SHOULD HAVE LEARNT BEFORE BEING THRUST FORCIBLY ON GHANAIANS BY LEADERS WHO ARE LEARNERS THEMSELVES.
THANK GOD PEOPLE LIKE JOHNNY ARE STILL AROUND AND ARE PREPARED TO SPEND TIME TO WRITE AND COMPLAIN ABOUT STINKING AND OVERBEARING ATTITUDES BY GOVT BOY APPOINTEES. MOST OF THEM HAVE HARDLY GOTTEN OUT OF THEIR NAPPIES OR BARELY FINISHED LEARNING TO CRAWL.
OH MOTHER GHANA WHERE DID YOU GO WRONG? HOW CAN WE RID THE SOCIETY OF SUCH MISFITS? WHO WILL RESCUE GHANA FORM SUCH A MONUMENTAL MESS? TWEEAA WE ARE DOOMED.

That Chrysler 300 the Canadian High Commissioner is using was registered on or about 2006 or earlier. All the appointed Ministers from 2008 are using their second LandCruisers as of January 2013...

Good piece, Johnny,
I am so sad reading this piece because all these stinky deals come back as dirty slaps in our faces as citizens because at least educated Ghanaians and others knew that John Mahama had gone to Brazil and inflated the cost of Braer aircraft by 300% and still voted for him to be president of Ghana.
How does anyone expect a man like that to discipline those under him when they are mimicking him, especially if part of the fraudulent proceeds are ploughed back into his party?
After that we go begging "our donor partners to support our budget." How idiotic can we get as a people. And some nincompoops will defend this to the hilt!

Johnny Cougar, the Ghanaian is obessed by cars. It is part of the new "Ghetto pimp my ride" mentality creeping into the mindset of Ghanaians. I am amazed at some of the vehicles I see on the streets of Accra duirng my annual vacations to Ghana. One thing we forget though is that vehicles are depreciating assets yet it is the first thing we buy when we get any money. We do not cut our coats according to our sizes at all. I hate to say this but we will remain broke for a long time. Gradually thinking such as yours in this article is becoming a luxury in today's Ghana. Kudos Bro. From a mate back in the days on Legon Cammpus.
