Your conclusions are as bogus as your prostrations to rationality. However, we admit that you are entitled to your beliefs and whatever faith you want to have faith in, including nil, as Mzbel seems to prefer!
Clearly, Mzbel was speaking for herself and did not propose to you and your kind that “Christianity must be rejected.” It is your own “implies”!
Since you are capable of writing tomes about classical history and myths, it ought to have been a significant point to you that when Mzbel says Jesus was made up, it is more import to see it as a critique of the belief/faith system called “Christianity”.
Hawkins may believe that someone called “Jesus” lived, but Hawkins cannot seriously dispute that the birth place of mankind was the African continent many millions of years ago, even with drifting continents, and not your miserable, fleeting “3000 years”,
With respect to your “…It appears that -- centuries before Jesus’ birth -- Satan created myths about Horus' life in anticipation of Jesus, in order to cause confusion, doubt, and disbelief…”, we ask:
How do you get there standing on one “Horus” myth to make “appear” another myth, “Satan”, so you can assign responsibility for “(devilish)….“confusion, doubt, and disbelief”?
So, Jesus (MAY) stand(s) as (YOUR) unique savior throughout (YOUR LIFE) history. (YOU CAN)…accept either him as a liar, lunatic or Lord.
Go get that “food that satisfies forever and living waters that never ceases to flow to satisfy”.
Go get it, Vandyck Ishmael Lomotey, for as they say, “the fewer, the merrier”!
But recognize that all these things ought to be private matters, between whoever the person chooses to see, and themselves!
That, we submit, is the core of Mzbel's position.

It doesn't surprise me a bit when a Christian or a believer is defending the lie of Jesus story. Quickly...Vandyck claims the story of Horus is not just a myth....but was invented planted by Satan to cause confusion and doubt among humanity awaiting the supposedly "true" one.
Instead of accepting that they believed a lie/myth about the person Jesus, they go about defending it with skewed rationalizations.
So who do we blame for the "true" Jesus not appearing for the past 2000+ years as claimed in the bible he would, even in the lifetimes of Paul and other believers then who had long died? Maybe...we blame Satan for that one too or me, for not believing in the nonsense/myth.

Mzbel has no testimony of Jesus Christ. That's a fact. If she had one she'd not have quit the Church. Testimony is so personal no one can live on borrowed testimony or someone else's testimony of Christ for a long time. They need to seek for a testimony of their own.
Testimony does not come by hearing the Word only but by a personal "search" of the scriptures and living worthy of one's discipleship and calling. There are those who build their "house on a foundation of sand" instead of on the "solid rock foundation" which is Christ Jesus. Mzbel did not get to know Jesus and could not have served him for how would any person serve a master she/he had not known. Seriously speaking, she was not even a follower of Jesus Christ because she never knew him. The work of the Holy Spirit is to testify or bear testimony of Christ and of every truth and righteousness. The Holy Spirit does not dwell in unclean bodies so I'm inferring that Mzbel did not live worthily to gain companionship of the Holy Spirit. If she did we'd not be having this conversation. Those who know her in private attest to this.
It's not her fault but the fault of those so-called pastors, evangelists and prophets who lure people into their church and fail to teach them the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. They fail to lead as Christ, the good shepherd led but lead their flock astray. Let's not forget that Christianity is a way of life. There's no substitute, there's no alternative to a Christ-like life. You're either in or out. All they teach these days is the gospel of prosperity. Why wouldn't people be deserting the Church in droves when the promised prosperity and miracles they seek fail to materialize? The Gospel of Jesus Christ is more than prosperity and miracles. Besides, the preachers are living off their poor members and enriching themselves at the expense of these poor seekers of truth and righteousness.
What's going on in the Church today? Sodom and Gomorrah re-enacted! Adultery, fornication, robbery, lies, gossip and backbiting, unhealthy rivalry, foolish pride and arrogance, materialism, magic, false tongue speaking, etc. Who are they fooling? Many more genuine seekers of truth and righteousness like Mzbel will become disillusioned, disappointed and frustrated and will continue to leave the fake churches unless the fake men of God repent or are all exposed and jailed for their various crimes.

I am shock by the depth of sloppiness and claims in this pedestrian attempt to challenge historical facts Mzbel referred.
Clearly, Mzbel gave Horus as just one example of virgin birth myths upon which the Jesus virgin myth was built. She mentioned Horus as the oldest but there are many more, some of which matched very closely the Jesus story. Just typing "virgin birth myths" into google would reveal zillions of articles on the subject, so why attempt to deny the undeniable?
To claim that Egyptians myths were buried in the sand until the 1800 when archaelogists discovered them displayed a complete lack of knowledge Egyptian history. Ancient Egypt was a literate society and who doesn't know about how they kept records on papyri and on temple walls?
When conquering Alexander the Great entered Egypt and ordered that a new town be built on the site of the ancient Egyptian town of Rakoti, now known as Alexandria, it set the stage for building the greatest library in the ancient world. The Egyptian priest Menatho (search for him through google)was commissioned to write down by the Greeks what was previously passed on orally, cos they were considered too vital to write down. One monumental result was The History of the World upon which much of the ancient writers, beginning with the formerly barbarian Greeks based their writings. These collection of ancient knowledge were still in existence centuries after the death of Jesus when fighting among Christians caused the burning of a major part of the library. A muslim caliph destroyed the remaining library in the C7th with the saying that if what were in the library agreed with what's in the Qu'ran, then they were superfluous and thus not needed. But if they disagreed with the Qu'ran, they were obnoxious and not needed. Christians and Muslims thus destroyed the greatest library ever built storing all ancient knowledge cos what were there conflicted with their own falsehood. Of course, after plagiarising what suits them.
I think I have to re-post my article on virgin births for all to read again.
Meanwhile, all can help themselves by searching the Internet. This may be interesting reading to start with.
