how does this benefit the individual Ghanaian. will it reduce the call cost for Ghanaians, that is what we need to consider. this will only increase the profits of the telephone companies

NCA should come out with one area code for all telcos in each town and city as we used to have under the old fixed-line regiment.

NCA should come out with one area code for all telcos in each town and city as we used to have under the old fixed-line regiment.
The first three digit should be the area code for say Tema and the second three digits may be for the Comm. 1 If that is a fixed line and if not, and it's mobile, then that should be for the mobile operators number and the last four digits should be the individual or customer's phone number.
This way, all phones can be easily linked to customers' addresses or place of domicile and could be easy to trace line owner in case of emergencies and also for security purposes in case where people use their phones to threat others.
The regime under which we're operating currently is too complicated and lacked all sense of numerology and orderliness.
