Mozato, to your info I know this writer personally. I had shared the same room with Okoampa-Ahoofe Jr. Believe me when I say, I think, the man is not well. This what I see. Let's say you heard report that there was an accident and a lot of folks lost their lives horribly, then you retort. "Ohh yeah, it serves them right". This speaks to your mental state. You are either mad or you have an improper affect.
Now about that Trokoshi thing you have going on. All the Ashanti people claim to have a direct lineage to the fetish priest Okomfo Anokye. Again this speaks to your mental state. I don't know if you know it or not. Each time you start calling people names, remember you are an Ashanti and we know you and your history. When it suits you, you claim the water-god Antowa and call yourselves princes and royalties of deities. Then you turn around and call ewes trokosi.
Just think about it. I prefer logic to irrational thinking. I rest my case.

Trokosi is a primitive culture which allows little girls to be sexually molested.
There is no molestation at Antoa Nyamaa and I for one don't believe in its mystical powers and will piss in it like a lot of Asantes.
Asantes don't send little girls to Antoa Nsuo Nyamaa to be sexually molested like the incestuous trokosis do.

There are plethora of important issues going on in our country Dr. Okoampah-Ahoofe could have directed his knowledge to, but instead he focused his attention on a flimsy topic, knowing fully well that the main characters involved in this frivolous "no case" hail from the Volta Region.
The question I want pose is would the learned Dr. have gone to the extent of writing this article if the main characters have come from Asiakwa, Apegwa, Kyebi, or Odumase?

You insulted Mr. Ampadu for nothing. What's your point? What criteria do you use in knowing that Mr. Ampadu did not 'sit down and think'?
He only wanted the Professor to use his prowess to tackle more crucial issues than this un-winnable fight with Kenu. Why should that stance earn him your insults?
Look, Kenu did not have to allow himself to be used as a scapegoat for the institutional failure by Journalists in Ghana to claim better protection for their work.
He reserved the right to abandon the case against Gyan for many personal reasons. Graphic Corporation could still pursue Gyan with available evidence for threatening to interrupt its work via Kenu and others, as well.
The Professor is right that Kenu's action might have disappointed his peers. But Kenu might have had some personal reasons that influenced his decision, and no one wants to pry for, or respect, those. Kenu is not the first Journalist to have suffered similar crimes from thuggish rich folks like Gyan in Ghana. Did the Professor follow those other cases just as closely to demand harsher punishments for the culprits? No one should force others to relinquish their right to settle cases out of Courts. And that is what discerning folks may see with the Professor's position, and that of the Graphic Management, regarding Kenu's case.
Mr. Ampadu, I believe, shares similar views sympathizing with Kenu's decision, and implicitly expected the Professor to acknowledge that, too. In that case, the Professor could have attended to other more difficult cases on hand to help us resolve. And you say Mr. Ampadu did not do what? You seem to be the one that failed to put on your thinking cap, sorry.

As a Columnist yourself, you decide what you want to write and is important to you. This idea that this issue is more important than the other issue is subjective.
If Ampadu has more important issue than this, nothing is preventing him from writing what he believes is important.
He has no basis to call Okoampa a bigot for writing about this issue.

Kenu might have disappointed his bosses and peers for not using Baffour Gyan to teach some lesson to thugs who would wantonly assault Journalists.
However, it was totally illegal to fire Kenu. His bosses did not have any mandate to force Kenu to pursue Gyan to the fullest at the Courts. Kenu, like any Citizen or legal entity, reserves the right to withdraw his court charge against another, despite what others may think.
However, in order to deter the likes of Gyan from harassing Journalists, what Kenu's bosses could have done was sue Gyan for interfering with the work of their employee, or, on behalf of the Journalist profession, bring a Civil suit against Gyan for threatening the free functioning of the profession in the Country.
The Nation's Communication Commission could have followed suit to sanction Gyan. Kenu, as an individual could have been influenced by many rational things, some of which could be sheer speculative, for dropping the case. He did not have to be further punished for dropping the case.
What the Professor is blaming Kenu for could be seen as Kenu not allowing himself to be used as a scapegoat for the Profession's inability to confront the likes of Gyan institutionally.
