Stupidly overstretching your yourself with lies which you can not defend.Danquah is but a pigmy before Nkrumah and the test of their greatness is measured by their international standing.Whilst Nkrumah stood like a colossus in international relations and an influential authority on the question of Africa's direction Danquah had all the time exhibited an inclination as a stooge to white supremacy under the shameless philosophy of seeing the white man as a boss whom we must kowtow to.
The crazy Ahoofe has no credibility at all and I shouldn’t have bothered to reply his post but some times you must call the stupid to order. He has made this platform his his busy hunting ground churning all these lies and misinformation for the gullible and cranks like him.

Prof, from your articles, I have got the impression that you are a politically savvy person. But you cannot be that when everything that ever happens in the world is seen from Kyebi lenses. What is wrong with you? The problems of the Ghana, Africa and the world is as a result of us abandoning the Akyems led by Danquah? Wow.
Look around the world and tell me anywhere there is development when the people are divided into small fragmented enclaves like in Africa. The Soviet Union was half of the Asia continent. The whole North America is made of two countries - the USA and Canada. In Europe, all the great individual and industralized countries have come together and are pulling the other countries into the European Union. Japan, Britain, Spain, France etc became world powers but colonizing other countries. Sono small country has succeeded alone and Africa will not. We can wait until thy kingdom come.
This is what Nkrumah saw but Danquah could not. Why, because his "western" education and his sole aim of being a "western" man in Africa did not afford him the ability to see it from the Africaman's perspective. It was all about how the British would have done it.
What is so shameful about our situation is that we still have Nkrumah's advice and warning ringing in our ears but being ignored even in our poverty, ebola-infected souls and Boko Haram.
In order words, we are STUPID because we still want to follow Danquah and the Akyems instead of Nkrumah.
Nkrumah saw it and advocated for a strong union of small enclaves of what we called independent African countries so we could make a head way. Danquah wanted each to become industrialized and Utopia first before we came together. To do what, share our wealth?

JB Danquah wanted the hide behind the colonial power's divide and rule policy to create a society where the elitists like himself are kept in power as the ruling class to serve the interests of the colonial powers of Europe like what we witnessed in the Ivory Coast, Liberia, Ethiopia, Gambia, the Congos, Gabon etc.!!!

Since when did any conservative imperial boot-licker ever begin thinking independently progressively?
Show us the airtight proof of any authentic narrative attributable to J. B. Danquah that indicates imperatively that he ever even dreamed of united Africa, Centuries ahead of his days.
The building of Institutions did not have to be a separate project from effective routine governance. No country exists without Institutions. Many Institutions are born with the Nationhood, and more come into being in response to additional needs.
We did have Institutions already built before Nkrumah took over the Administration of the country. They only had to be strengthened more with proper Constitutional mandates, and possibly, added on according as our national needs grew in diversity.
The most important subsystem in any Nation to lead strengthening of Institutions is the Judiciary. Even though its own strengths are derived from the Constitution and the direction that our Parliament takes us, there is the recursive import of the Judiciary that must be influencing the Parliament to adjust the Constitution with relevant amendments to empower the Judiciary to whip the Institutions into shape.
This has little to nothing to do with what you claim Danquah surmised in his silent desires.
When our Judiciary capitulates to the Executive, and the Parliament exists only as a rubber stamping robot of the Presidency, it does not matter how many Institutions we may have built, the entire system would still be vulnerable to disjointed, haphazard, unfocused management where Corruption breeds and thrives with increasing strength.
Right now, if we could start cleansing the Judiciary enough to allow it lead the fight against corruption in the Nation, by challenging the Parliament to invigorate the statutes that the Judiciary already depend on to fight corruption, we would be doing a whole lot better.
We now have a Country where the Judiciary seems enervated to take on the Executive or the Parliament to demand implementation of existing Statutes. We have an Executive that we have allowed to assume monarchical authority amidst our young democracy. The Presidency, being aware of this bloated authority doled out to it, has been using it to coerce the MPs who share the same Party with it to fall in line to approve of its shortsighted agenda.
The Judiciary cowardly has learned to take its feet off the acceleration to allow the Presidency consume almost all the Nation has in its path. That is why our Institutions remain weak and the Nation, as well the rest of Africa which have similar situations existing there, are stuck in the doldrums.
We are yet to see any MP, Minister, Judge or prominent Chief or President vigorously prosecuted, convicted and jailed accordingly for blatant corruption as the Public know of. We seem to be believing that so long as Democracy exists no prominent individual can ever be dragged into the judicial process to answer any perceived crimes.
The absence of that capability among our Judiciaries in Africa is more the reason why our Politicians have been able to get away with so much.
So, dreaming to have an African Union or not is not what determined the success or failure of our member Nations. And upon its creation, the functioning of the OAU or AU, in and of itself, did not add any more encumbrance to the responsibilities of the various Nations to render them individually and collectively enervated.
We subconsciously could not retire the long existing subservience to leadership as had been handed down to us per the Colonial imperial masters. Hence, we suppressed our better judgment, voices and desire for better accountability to us from the leadership.
