What is the source of your reference on Jubilee oil field? Has the contract been made public for Ghanaians to see for themselves?

Mahama, you seem to have looked at a lot of numbers but you did not really understand them or you do not even know how the sector operates. You can sit on your "resources" for monkey years and go hungry and begging. The other alternative is to have someone who has the financial recourses to pull these natural resources out of the soil (or sea) and dictate to you what he gives you in royalty. You work at Energy Research. Whatever you do, your best contribution to Ghana will to start exploring - and soon drilling oil in the Keta basin. Or, first, tell us whether there is even oil there or not. Once you start drilling, you can give all - 100% - to your uncle Mahama to complete his hotel in Dubai. Stop mining data in the name of energy research.

This is just a copy and paste article! I don't see any practical information here. WHERE IN YOUR ARTICLE IS THE ANSWER TO THE SECOND QUESTION?
A classic case of disjointed narrative!

The agreements signed between the government of Ghana and the oil exploration and drilling companies are debatable but what's is more important now is for the government to account for every pesewa received as our share of the oil revenue. Personally, I can not see nor feel that the new and extra revenue received from oil has iimpacted the economy or my life in any way. It is as if nothing has changed.

Why did we not attract expertise from abroad, including Ghanaians working in the oil and gas industry, to build up the capacity of GNPC? We could have extracted and marketed the oil and gas ourselves, or in partnership with a foreign oil company on a more equitable basis.
Let us stop giving out any further concessions and look to how we can exploit our oil and gas reserves ourselves for the benefit of all our people.
As regards the contrived border dispute, we should stand firm against the Ivorian rascals who have waited for us to explore and map out the fields before making a claim.
We say to the Ivorians 'Allez-vous en'!!

Is it too late for re-negotiation if the agreement signed is not in the best interest of Ghana and why wasn't this debate in parliament (just like the Plant Breeders Bill)? This would have attracted useful comments, suggestions and debate from/among Ghanaians which would have gone a long way to help the GG to have secured a better deal, what happened, disrespect for Ghanaians! (Read into it!).
