Even if they had communal clashes, did it even last more than a day? How many people were killed in such clashes and how many houses were burnt? The people from some parts of the North and Alavanyo and Nkonya area should really learn from the Akwapim when it comes to agreeing to disagree.

You see where you are going with this issue? Who is the stranger in the area? Is it the Ewe speaking Alavanyos or the Guans of Nkonya? Volta Region is an Eweland and majority of them speak Ewe so if Ewe is not your language, you should consider yourself a stranger. Alavanyos are warriors and despite their small number, no one can defeat them. Even with the whole Ghana Army, Nkrumah could not defeat them. They are the Israelis of Ghana. You can't cheat them and you can't defeat them.

You can not call an akan or a Guan in the volta region an ewe . Why are you not crying for peace but trying to create impression that the volta region is for only ewes so non-ewes whose lands are within the volta region are strangers. If you can not accept them , then the government must create a region for them. What kind of president do we have in ghana and who are those writing stupid things for him to read out.
People of any town should never be compare to another town. How stupid to go and be talking about people of Bawku in a town that has nothing to do with them.
If the president wants to praise a town and it people you dont compare their effect with other people who has different problems to that town.
People of Bawku are a peace group of people who will listen when spoken to, they are not at war, it a long time mis-understanding between two group of settlers.
Its a shame to the government. The northern part of ghana is not the same as that of the south in traditions and culture.
Why cant John Mahama as a president talk to people personally when he sees something is not coming on well. Bawku is too far for John Mahama to go and yet wants they vote.
Rawlings did far better in Bawku that John Mahama. The fact is John Mahama dont care about people in Bawku and Bawku people should let him know they dont want him backbiting about their town.
In Bawku there is and will always be two chiefs because it a settlement of two group of different tribes.
Bawku in the 60s was one of the most peaceful town in the region until the Nigerias were send back to nigeria.
The properties of the foreigners left behind cause all this mis-understand.
On the part of the chiefs Manporise or Kusasi have every right to have their own chief.
Remember Muslims in those days and now dont have chiefs. Bawku muslim want a leader not a chief.
Lets blame the over throwing of Nkrumah and Liman, the two leaders did understand Bawku and treated it with love and care.
Never again should John Mahama wash Bawku dirty in any other town. If Bawku has a problem talk to Bawku and stop telling them what and what not to do thru another group of people who has nothing to do with it.
How many in Bawku will hear what John Mahama in a village in the south. Bawku shouldnt be far for any president to send his massage thru people who dont know where Bawku is.
Who are those fooling John Mahama with advice on what to say and not to say.
Naa ye fusi da Dramani John. If he cant help he should shut up.

If Presidents Nkrumah and Liman understood the problems of Bawkus, helped and treated them with loving tender care as you are saying, Donboli, why then did the people of Bawku desert the CPP, Nkrumah's Party in times of need and run to the NDC? The ungrateful people of Bawku forgot the good deeds and love these late presidents showed to them but paid them very badly in return, that is why there are always troubles in that area these days. President Mahama has learnt that no matter what he would do to Bawku they will not help him in times of need.

Why we Akuapems are civilised, polite and peaceful is that the Bassel and early Missionaries came to preach Christ to us. We accepted HIM and have since lived with HIM.
Tell the Bawkus and the Alavanyos to do Likewise.
