You receive Bonuses for no work done. You are a drain on the Govt.... You always make money on our back and you see every Tournament as a means to make money.... And You Have The Vim to question us why we want our money?

You write as if this is the first fatal accident in Ghana.
Do you know why people blame all these things on the Government,no matter which political paty is in power,because our politicians are corrupt,and they don`t use our money to do things for the benefit of the nation.
Some of these accidents are preventable,if we do the right things,like enforcing traffic regulations,maintaing our roads and controlling drivers and cars which are not road worthy.
Believe in yourself,Kojo T,because there is nothing like "juju",otherwise Africans will not be living in abject poverty.

Government should either fix the roads or allow private contractors to fix the roads and collect fees from the drivers that uses the roads.
There will still be accidents but it will be reduced.

any large motorway(freeway) between New York and Washington Dc would be at least 6 lanes wide or 8 lanes wide near the city and 2-3 in each direction further out

I used to think the city of Lagos scary in terms of safe driving, when I worked there in the 80's.
Now the country of Ghana wins that dubious title hands down.

The last time I went home for a visit, I was really shocked at the way drivers in Ghana drove. They were overtaking other cars in curves, bends, corners, going up hills without a care in the world what was coming from the opposite direction.

Drivers would pass about 6 cars on a straight stretch on the highways whether there were other cars coming in the opposite direction or not. They just flash their headlights to 'warn' the drivers in the opposite lane that they are coming, come hell or high water so those other drivers should pull over to give them the right of way.

My family and I almost got killed just around Cape Vars by a nutcase who just felt like driving in our lane in order to overtake 4 cars ahead of him.
I had to pull over on the shoulder of the road to let him pass and avoid a head-on collision.

In my opinion, all drivers in Ghana need to be retrained in basic driving lessons and the drivers' licensing offices should be turned inside out to get rid of all the corrupt officials who give driver's licences to these clueless killers on our roads and highways. As simple as that, no buts and ifs.
The roads and highways are already death traps because of non-existent maintenance and upkeep. So to give these terrible drivers a free reign on the highways is just asking for trouble.

The police are just as useless. All they ask for is their 'iced water' money and they turn a blind eye to these killer drivers wreaking havoc on our roads and highways.

Drivers speed on it like crazy and if it rains, the accidents are horrible. Our drivers need to learn to drive more cautiously on such roads.

I know one Ghanaian in Canada who was driving in Ghana but failed Canada driving 7 times before final passed the test. Go to school and learn what causes accidents not only how to dive. ok.
