it is equally wrong for the Police officer to collect a Drivers license where the Driver is not on alchol.
the law allow the Police to inspect the license but had no right whatsoever to detaine the it for more than 5minutes if the Driver is not drunk or involve in an accident where s/he is at fault.
These were some of the things the acient europeans corrected them and had able to move Forward as developed Country but when it Comes to Ghana a Problem the White man would just use only 1minute to address , it will take a ghanaian 10years to reach there.
it is not that they can identify the Problem that is far from the trueth but the one who had the power to adress the Problem had interest in the loopholes to enrich him/herself and the president sit unconcerned ,.
lawyers judges , agencies, Standard board stakeholders are are all turned to be blind and dunb for the stupid few to manipulate and take civilisation to full darkness
ANIMALS HAD WISDOM THAN GHANAIAN AUTHORITIES.

A police officer pulls over an elderly female for speeding while driving her husband to a doctors appointment. The officer approaches the vehicle and attempts to explain that he stopped her for speeding.
She looks at her husband and asks, "What did he say?"
The husband replies, "He said he stopped you for speeding."
The officer asked the elderly female for her driver's license and she turned and asked her husband, "What did he say?
The husband replies, "he wants to see your driver's license."
The women hands the officer her license and he sees that she is from his old home town. The officer tells the couple that he remembered the town because he had the worst sexual experience of his life there.
The women looks at her husband and asked, "What did he say?"
The husband replies, "He says he knows you."

It is our collective responsibility to fight this ungodly canker, the illegal police-driver transactions on our roads that makes our daily commute a hell, and in most cases leads to preventable accidents that claim numerous lives of innocent commuters. Being deadly silent on this unholy and despicable behavoir on our roads means writing our own obituary, besides the needless pain and trauma those unrepentant buffoons make us go through in our daily lives. Folks, let us all rise up and support this onerous concerns being championed by Pacas, for I could see a bright light at the end of the tunnel. Stand up for your rights and don't give up the fight. Thank you Idris.

A passenger would not know whether a driver is qualified to drive or not. It is right for the police to delay both passengers and driver because when the driver's negligence causes an accident, the innocent passenger, inspite of the fact that he did not know the driver was not qualified, will not escape either being hurt or killed.Secondly, at the time the driver was caught committing the offence, he hadloaded passengers, which also adds as exhibit or evidence. I would have wished to see the pictures of the police squeezing the notes into their pockets. No amount of single spine will make them stop taking your last GH 1.00 to add to their GH 20.00 and make them richer.

One of the most important and crucial drivers of community planning and development is property addressing that can be used to track and identify other linkages to a property or address of a structure or plot of land. But it is this very critical driver that the decentralized scheme has failed to deliver. The effects of this failure have limited and hampered the ability of government and private entities alike from using cost effective methods in providing sales and or services to communities and the nation as a whole. Ghanaians in this day and age should be receiving water and electricity bills through the mail and Ghana's post office system could be fully funded through mail delivery and other delivery services. Telephone bills, from land lines through internet to cell phone bills could be arriving via mail just as court citations and vehicle moving violation citations could come to ones door step via the mail system. It is the lack of this very simple but necessary home address thing that contributes to the silliness we see in Ghana. Police officers on a traffic beat cannot issue citations to drivers because there is no effective ways to track offenders who fail to show up in courts. Utility companies (water, electricity, telephone, internet, etc) and other service providers like ambulatory cannot bill their services after the fact because tracking addresses in Ghana amounts to finding a needle in a hay stack. Yet the people who convinced a dumb Ghana government and legislators to decentralize our planning and development schemes have succeeded in adding layers of paid staff to the over bloated government employee system with little and or no benefit to society.
The various DCE's MDs, MPs etc have cost Ghana more than they are worth and yet Ghana can say we have a decentralized system modeled after the system in the UK except we do not have the ability to find business and residential addresses the way the British can even in 2014. We are paying the price, Idris, for the folly of copying blindly.

The only difference between African Police and the advance countries is that African Police will get away with it and in the advanced countries when police are caught they are dealt with severely.
