Nduom knows the rundown of both the micro and the macro-economics. Only these knowledgeable qualities found in a leader who understands what pertains to the ground and has a real solution as espoused by Nduom on this articles can lead Ghana, or else we are just living on a fool's paradise. I challenge Mahama to call on the expertise of this guy and then we can solve some of the problems. He has the panacea to the ails of the Ghanaian economy. Ghanaians voters need to understand that a leader is not just someone who can win election
but part of it is someone who has the strengths of selflessness, visionary, and above all competence. Modern leading economies are not the work of prayers and silly God mindedness as is the order of day in Ghana but they thrive on the foundations of sound science and real business. No matter how many minerals we find everyday Ghana will be a mockery to the white man unless our leadership attributes change as Nduom rightly said. Leadership is not about experimenting with choices at hand but someone who knows his "shit" like Kwasi Nduom that will help Ghana. Kudos to Nduom.

NOW HE'S TURNED HIMSELF INTO AN ADVISER TO ANOTHER CORRUPT HOPELESS GHANA PRESIDENT MAHAMA.
THEY SHOULD CONTINUE PUTTING THE BURDEN ON GHANA'S POOR BY INCREASING FUEL PRICES, TAXES, TARIFFS AND EVERY OTHER DAMN THING IN THE MIDST OF PLENTY OF NATURAL RESOURCES IN GHANA, MOST OF WHICH GOES TO FOREIGN BUSINESS INTERESTS WHO'LL CONTINUE TO BRIBE THEIR WAY AT THE BANK OF GHANA FOR US$ LETTERS OF CREDIT AND OTHER STATUTORY US$ "LEGAL TENDER" TO PAY FOR THEIR IMPORTS WHILE KEEPING THEIR FOREX EARNINGS OVERSEAS.

Paa Kwesi Nduom has some comical one-liners just like Dr Bawumia because both cannot bring themselves to accept they have nothing intellectually challenging and or stimulating for discussion. Did Paa Kwesi Nduom not serve in the Kufour administration or did he forget the following while serving in Kufour’s administration:
1. Government must pay for the things they spend money on or intend to spend money on
2. Government must not spend beyond collected revenues and not estimated revenue collection?
3. Government must not implement new programs without funding sources
If Paa Kwesi believes in economic principles he would know that a government in Ghana willing to pay members of parliament wages/salaries and benefit packages that is far more generous than the wage scale in productive western civilized nations is a sign of government that is bound to face economic hardships. Those engaged in various forms of business in Ghana that is centered on buying finished goods from outside Ghana for sale in Ghana for profit are the very people asking the national government to lower taxes on everything including fuel (utility and cars) and or lower VAT on commodities etc hoping those measures would spare economic growth. These are nothing more than selfish delusions because the buy and sell business in Ghana actually drains Ghana’s economy and depreciates our cedi.
These are the very people offering property taxes as alternate source of income for the government knowing good and darn well getting each household to pay property taxes in Ghana can never be done. The police currently cannot use traffic violation ticketing methodology even with cars and or motorized vehicles plying roads in Ghana. How then would the government go about collecting property taxes from homes that are unlisted, unreachable and not yet value-appraised? In what form would land and property valuation take? What penalties will society accept as punishment for those who fail to pay their property taxes? Will this process be spared from the fate of political party led demonstrations that are brought on by political leaders who incite citizens to demonstrate against all thing government? Paa Kwesi must not talk for the sake of talking but must talk like a man with some intellect.

Look around the world and you will realize that for all the "book-lon" their SYCOPHANT admirers and thieves, we cannot progress as a nation.
It is easier said than done.
Which of these Political leaders can't actually claim a realistic long term development vision and development agenda that transformed regional powers/hubs like Brazil and UAE?
What Ghana needs is deep thinkers and visionaries for the prestige and interest of the nations.
What we have now is a bunch of new era “Aka Blays" whose only skill is how best to ruin the nation's coffers to enrich themselves and their cronies. Yes, CAREER POLITICAL THIEVES who are spurred on by our NAIVE PARTY AND TRIBAL affiliations!
Is time for a real PARADIGM shift in the political thought process of the once "STAR" of Africa!
Who in Ghana will be forward-thinking like the Emir of UAE who contemplated the day oil money will run out, and thought conceived of a business hub in the ME. On oh, yes! How many Ghanaians brag about their trips to or connections in the UAE? If you are curious, read “How Dubai Became Dubai”?
Can we have a social conscience like Lulo da Silva whose self-awareness of where he came from spurred him to save Brazil from its daemons ensure sustained growth? Yea, I bet we are looking forward to Rio 2016? Do you ever stop to wonder who Brazil unshaklled itself form “C” and “Favella” problems to become a world economic powerhouse?
Can we have from Ghana an icon to be referred to as "a man/woman with audacious ambitions to alter the balance of power among nations”?
THINK, THINK, but this time THINK for Ghana and not your lousy bank accounts, pockets, malls, houses, cars and cronies. Twa Omanye aba!

So if things aren't working, you have to keep quiet and let them spoil because you do not belong to a ruling party? It is time to find ways of strengthening our economy and Dr Paa Kwesi is thinking allowed. If you have no suggestion, insulting him will not cure our sickness. Insults have never been what built Ghana. Bright ideas that lead to practical living and acceptance of the reality and the readiness to make a change. This is what is needed now. All insults should be curtailed.
