Is it easy for an individual to go volunteering in order to contribute to development when those who should be advancing the development in the governments, for the past fifty years continue dilapidating the very resources needed for the development?
How does it go down with you that politicians ride big cars, fight for and get huge pay packet, do nothing for it, and you, who should also be the beneficiary of the resources, should be looked down upon as useless while you go volunteering on empty stomach?
Teacher's pay makes it look as volunteering for me. Ever since time immemorial their work is said to be paid in heaven. Apart from politicians, no one else in government employ enjoys the full benefits due them.
Come back from Canada; ideas are getting lost on you.

If you continue to follow a trajectory of financial recklessness sooner than later you would be wallowing in bankruptcy and that it seems is the path that Ghana has now embarked.

i know of some very rich people who drive their Benz, BMW, Toyota RAV 4 etc on muddy pot holed filled dirty roads to go to their hom,es everyday. these people can asphalt the roads they drive on to their homes from their pockets and maintain them. They must be encouraged to do so and we can name the roads after them. That will be their contribution to society.
A GOOD POINT YOU RAISED ABOUT VOLUNTEER WORK. GHANAIANS MUST LEARN TO DO VOLUNTEER WORK.
When I was a kid there was voluntary Work Camp Associations in Ghana that organized people for voluntary work particularly in the long vacation.
We have forgetten to revive all these petty little things that help society to develop and move forward.

I keep saying every day that human beings are necessarily bad because bad behavior facilitates access to quick riches. Humans therefore, as a matter of urgency, require strict control measures, vigilance and reprimand every minute, from those supposed to be guarding laws. However in Ghana, it is rather with the help and grin on their faces that the custodians of the laws trample on our laws and civil codes. Do you see how the Kpegah allegation is being handled?
No democracy could be sustained with its entailing benefits including lasting development without true and rigorous embrace of laws. It is impossible. That is why it makes me laugh to tears when we talk of success and the attenuation of corruption at the same time indiscipline and lawlessness are on their steady hike.

You can go on borrowing spree at commercial interest rates thinking that you can pay your way out of this with just 100,000 barrels per day of oil production.

My people. Here we go again! Caution! Whatever you do, please don't start something you can't finish. To the so call politician and party supporters and those media personnel with big pens who write inflammatory articles. If you advocate for some sort of trouble in Ghana because you think you have been wronged, then be reminded of where you are today and take a hard look at where you'd be when all is said and done. The people you are constantly threatening will not sit down and watch you do whatever you think you can do. You can take that to the bank!! Oh yeah, lest I forget, be prepared to send your kids to the front lines. Don't expect other peoples' children to do what you want while you cool your feet somewhere else. To each one of us; learn to love and respect our neighbor and there will be enough love to go around the world. Appreciate your life and whatever you have today for tomorrow, it may not be there.
