Elections are won by counting the number of votes cast in favour of a candidate.Some people in Ghana think Ghanaians are 'fools' and can win the elections through administrative errors made on the so called 'PINK SHEETS'. It is sad that Nana Addo who would have been an honourable man if not because of his wee smoking, is struggling to win through technicalities. After losing miserably at the polls Nana now hopes to win by technicalities. Asking the court to disqualify 4.6 million could only be the work of wee smoking.

I suggest we pray for Nana Addo. But above all I advise him to rush to the Cuban Drug Rehabilitation Centre which weaned Maradonna off drugs. I accordingly start an appeal for funds for this purpose.

I have now seen that Mr. Tsatsu Tsikata is/was a law lecturer. What he is exhibiting in the court is to prove the the tactics of cross examination and nothing else. He is nostalgic of the lecture hall.

All that he is heading to, is to prove to the courts that, there were 'human errors' on the part of the petitioners and if the Electoral Commissioner also made these 'human errors', because no human being is infallible, the errors made by the Electoral Commission should not alone justify the annulment of the votes, and as such the petition by the petitioners is 'immaterial' and should be declared 'NULL and VOID' and should therefore be thrown out.

This is a simplicity, a juvenile argument to dismiss such a petition!

Mr. Tsatsu Tsikata should had represented the Electoral Commission and NOT the NDC although all the respondents are jointly responsible for this defense.

This trend of arguments is heading towards the ultimate conclusion that 'human errors' or 'clerical errors' alone should not be used to justify the annulment of the votes and the results.

The question is:

What about other issues in the petition apart from these human and clerical errors?

At best, what our learned supreme court judges should do is to call for a re-run of the Presidential elections. Period!

Any other verdict, either Yes or No, would NOT solve this issue.

Ghana should not bother about the cost. Ghana can pay for the cost of this re-run, if there is PEACE, but cannot pay for the COST of lives, if there is a WAR, although both parties had acquiesced to any verdict from the supreme court.

ONLY A RE-RUN OF THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS WOULD BRING PEACE!

Why the hurry to complete the case when all the supporting documents have not been properly scrutinized.
If NPP is in a hurry to end the case when the respondents are neck deep asking questions then, there's something NPP is hiding and don't want the one questioning to stumble on it.

During the revolutionary days when blood thirsty ewes thought they could commit any heinous crime and get away with it because they had Rawlings behind them. A case in point is the killing of the judges and the retired army officer. Tatsu Tsikata defended his cousin Kojo Tsikata the brain behind the act.

In the estimation of most Ghanaians, the Litor guy has done better by far as compared to the NDC's celebrated legal luminary. Tsikata, Tsikata, Tsikata, is that all he can do? Asking questions on a long winding road which brings you to the same answer almost all the time, all with the view to delay the case which the NDC/EC know they have lost is not the way to go. Our elders say, " the slap that you know you would receive at all cost, it's better you receive it early". The Tsatsu guy has been a huge disappointment. The only NDC's most celebrated intellectual has not been able to match one of the many excellent brains in the NPP. He should wrap it up and let's take the NDC/EC to the cleaners and stop wasting the court and our time.

True to expectation, Tsatsu and Lithur have made rank nonsense of the suppositions upon which the NPP and Bawumia are seeking an annulment of over 4m votes. So far, both counsel have brought their vast expertise in cross-examination and the law to bear on the proceedings and in consequence have easily dominated the exchanges with Bawumia before their lordships.In all truthfulness, the case of the NPP has been dealt a fatal blow as the cross-examination has proved that NPP agents who were deployed in all polling stations across the country didn't notice any malpractice in any of these polling stations to warrant entries of complaints in respect of same as required under the law. It sounds strange and indeed illogical for a person or persons who were not agents at any polling station to seek to overturn an election result which has been certified by all, including your watchmen, as free fair and accurate, merely by (mis)reading the figures on the face of a pink sheet. Instructively, the petitioners themselves don't appear to be conversant with the electoral law regarding the role of agents, the failure of presiding officers and agents to append their signatures on a pink sheet etc on the validility or ortherwise of election results. Tsatsu's line of cross-examination can't be faulted or impeached because he must defend the results recorded in every sheet tendered in evidence. Worst still, the petitioners have now abanboned some of their initial allegations including the one about an apparent collusion between the EC and STL company to doctor the results to favor the eventual winner. As things stand now, Bawumia and the NPP are desperately clutching unto a dangerously weak straw.
