Why should you and others be allowed to get away with falsely accusing the NDC of being thieves? Where is your evidence that they have stolen anything?

Tony, I beg to differ with your suggestion in the second paragraph of the article. Indeed, the interest of Ghana is best served by the Supreme Court hearing the petition instead of dismissing it outright. The full hearing of the petition will strengthen Ghana's democracy. Again, we are all witnesses to what is now being described as administrative or clerical errors. This we know because the petition is being heard but no one would have known the extent of the errors if the petition was dismissed outright. The Electoral Commission will seek to reduce such errors in the 2016 elections whatever the outcome of the petition. That is a benefit to Ghana and democracy. It will also strengthen constitutional and democratic institutions including the Electoral Commission.
In other words, the benefits of a full hearing far outweigh the benefits (if any) of an outright dismissal.
Tony, an outright dismissal would have had no useful or learning benefits to Ghana. It would, at best, have damaged Ghana's judicial image and dent Ghana's democratic credentials. Last but not the least, that could have recipe for chaos and potential conflict.
By the time the Supreme Court gives its final verdict on the petition, political tension in Ghana would have gone down and most people will accept the verdict and reduce the risk of the potential for conflict.
What you suggested is anarchy and not what is expected in a democratic society but in dictatorship.

It is good to see and hear some noisy 'bigshots' make a fool of themselves on live TV because they are used to bleating insults and toxic propaganda in the comfort of FM studios. In the midst of our current socio-economic turmoil Ghanaians deserve something to cheer them up until President Mahama steers the nation clear of the current hardships.

Where is the greater good when incumbents can perpetuate their political power and grip by using the power of incumbency to impudently steal elections and negate the true will of people. Is that the type of democracy we want in Ghana? I cannot under any circumstance justify your hypothesis that for the general good of the country, a meritorious case should be dismissed. Where would be deterrence from a future occurrence of such a despicable and immoral activity?

Aaah AKADU, say it LOUD!!! Indeed one of the worst if NOT the WORST.
This writer may think our Democracy was achieved without a FIGHT. I urge him to visit the History of our country since Dictator Kwame Nkrumah's era and he would come to the conclusion that it wasn't given to us on a silver platter whereby an Election could be rigged and expect the aggrieved to rejoice.
Sounds like "Peronism", leading a shirtless people to the ghetto and telling them it is a Paradise. IDIOT.
IT IS NOT OVER UNTIL IT IS OVER!!!

The court must be allowed to make a determination on the matter brought before it. Thankfully, the petitioners' case has been dealt such a fatal blow in the wake of the masterful and sterling performances of counsel for the respondents that any reasonable person can only expect logical judgement at the end which is for the court to dismiss the petition as frivolous and unmeritorious.
