When Kwaku Baako informed us about the atrocities of Kwesi Pratt during PNDC Regime, some of us did not believe until the truth was confirmed during the NRC. Kwesi Pratt is the most dangerous Journalist Ghana had ever have, he had the gut to recommend his fellow journalists to be executed by PNDC. Pratt even recommended Baako to be killed by the regime, thank God Baako was instead touchered violently and severely but his life was spared. This is what Kwesi Pratt can do. Now Pratt is a secret agent to NDC and US Embassy in Ghana. May God forgive Pratt and spare him the untold evils that will come upon him and his generations. The souls of those journalist killed through Pratt's recommendations to PNDC will never forgive Pratt. Now Pratt has the guts to take Diplomatic Passport and smuggled his weak-headed children to work at the Ministries under Mills NDC, may God forgive Pratt and his dependance and spare them of the evils ahead of them.

Strikes are necessary especially when you are dealing with an unfeeling, insensitive government whose lingua franca is strikes, lies, and indiscipline. Strikes create awareness.

The teachers via their unions could have sacrificed for the sake of country to get their students to the end of term and through their various impending regular and national exams; then through the long vacation their representatives can continue the bargaining process and if nothing fruitful is attained then threaten to strike for the opening of the next school year. Although, I do not support such strikes at all, because it could be counterproductive to nation building...
This strike is ill timed, I think primarily because of the importance that Teachers hold in society, and how such activities causes the venerable student populations to suffer...
Education has been suffering in Ghana since the onset of Rawlings' coup, with university closings and the like...
Now, the teachers are demanding all sorts of allowances and increases, but how is their productivity measured to warrant and justify such increases? Is there a way to measure the effectiveness of these teachers? Even the USA and its various states are looking into these very issues of productivity and effectiveness as a means to incentivize performing teachers and to weed out non performing teachers.
I will never knock down teachers because I had some of the best in Ghana who influenced me to perhaps aim high, but I also know that qualification to become teacher now in Ghana is perhaps too low for the information age that countries exist in... Perhaps, it is time to take the qualifications for teachers to include polytechnic or university degree?
Ofcourse it will take time to implement such changes, but Ghana has to create and execute a dramatic policy statement on education to try to bring its populace on par with those of its Asian counterparts at independence.

The attitude of some of the Ghanaian teachers in the system MUST change- they also abuse their position and lord over students, abusing them, and making unreasonable demands.
I can recall that when I was in Stage 4 at my prep school during Rawlings' coup days, my teacher demanded for us students to bring him provisions from home- if you did that, you were among the favorites in his class, and if you didn't even your intellectual prowess could not save you- Ofcourse my Mom was not having it, as we were struggling to meet our needs, and so for the first time in a while, I and others similarly situated fell out of the top 10 rankings- but that injustice was ameliorated in stage 5, when I was right back where I was, and even performed my best ranking ever in that prep school...

FWSC must be disbanded and Graham Smith prosecuted . It has caused a huge increase in the wage bill without resolving labour issues bcos of lack of equity and scientific determination.
They are also liars, chests and tricksters. They even fail to abide by compulsory arbitration rulings even if it doesnt favour workers
Why havent they been able to resolve issues of doctors, teachers and pharmacists? The whole purpose of the SSSS has been defeated thanks to the unscientific methods of Graham Smith and his bunch of crooks.
The SSSS will collapse soon bcos no workers will ever be happy with it simply bcos it lacks a scientific basis.
