Boycotts are normal practice of the NPP tradition. It's forerunner, the United Party (UP) did boycott parliamentary proceedings, when its leaders realised they could not compete with Kwame Nkrumah, politically. They ran and sought refuge in neighbouring countries to organised bomb throwing activities by proxy at innocent Ghanaians in their attempt to make Ghana ungovernable.
Kwame Nkrumah thwarted their attempts by introducing the Preventive Detention Act(PDA)and followed it by introducing a one-party system of government to enable the country to progress.

How do you choose to insult someone, levels so many unsubstantiated alegations agsint your political opponents and later call him to come
and sit at one table with you, what respect have you got for the person
you lied on him or her and sort of pains inflicted on your political opponens will help him to come to you as a person? Kwasea like that.
Do you know why British people practice their political methods cleanly and refrain from insults,
lies, unsubstantiated allegations,
and stealing from fellow political
opponents but accepts that even if you
are a president and have lost the elections you accept it cleanly than to steal from the winning political opponents? Just check it out.
Why Rev. Asante cannot come out clean
and call spade a spade and act without
fear or favour but trying to be hippocryte? Rev. Asante be a true
Christian and make sure truth is established so as to eschew danger,
hatred and jealous from our country.
Make it just plain to Mahama that he did not win the elections, he lost it
so he must back down and give the power to Nana Akuffo Addo who won the election so as to bring peace and harmoney in our society, simple as that.

Prof by your statement " wish that all Ghanaians rallying behind a things of this nature to facilitate the legitimacy of our Presidency" How can people who are convinced that Mr Mahama was not legitimately elected rally behind his inauguration? Can we legitimize an illegitimate product? The peace council is not doing enough to help the peace we enjoy. For all the insults and insinuations heaped on Nana Akuffo-Addo by NDC people, what have they said? Members of the peace council and it's chairman always wait to condemn people from the NPP when they react to unfair attacks. This comment by the chairman is unnecessary, knowing the NPP has already gone to court, challenging the result of the election. In the minds of people that thinks like a primary school or JSS pupil, people that protest of wrong doing and challenges wrong doing are unpatriotic. Such a stance by the peace council can also be seen as endorsing wrong doing in our society and promoting corruption. This is unfair.

Fellow Ghanaians, let us analyze the performance of the two main political parties in this country. NDC’s philosophy is “dzie wo fie asem”. In opposition they allowed the Kufuor regime to mind its own business. As a result the NPP looted the Ghana government for eight good years. The fat cats looted the economy from cash (Kwadwo Mpiani), bungalow (Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey), cooking pots (Sekyi-Hughes) etc…..70% of the richest people in Ghana are NPP apparachicks. In the case of NPP, they believe they know better than anybody else and they are the only people who have the divine right to rule Ghana thus they oppose everything NDC does if it is not from the NPP, whether good or bad, from, Chinese loans, judgment debts, appointments and even the inauguration of President Mahama. This enabled the NDC to always be on their toes in whatever they do. From this observation, you can all agree with me that the NPP are better in opposition than NDC. Fellow Ghanaians, let us ensure that NPP remains in opposition for thirty years. After that time NDC will improve everything and NPP will come back and rule Ghana till thy kingdom come.

Fellow Ghanaians we have laws in the country to guide us. Challenges like this could happen, that is why it is in the constitution. At the end of the day we should stand up as a country and practice what we preach. We cannot let violence to rule over the rule of law. The NDC trying to bribe every department with the state resouces and they think that is how to govern a nation. Instead of thinking about good strategic plans they say ede bee keke or better Ghana agenda. It is better to stay away from illegal things. If possible don't even watch the telecast. It will be waste of precious time given to us by the Almighty to do so.
We must remember that truth always comes out no matter what. The silent and voiceless majority are watching and taking note. Let the vociferous minority in Ghana with power and access to the media continue insulting our intelligence and our will. One day they will realise their folly, see the light and change but will it not be too late? I really hope not.
NPP is not destroying Ghana's image, it is rather Ghanaians destroying their own image by always compromising with fraud, lies, dishonesty and every vile thing happening in the country.
The rot in the country started from the head, head of some institutions. Thank God there people who still have the country at heart. They are fighting the disgusting practices and dirty vices by going to court.
My country men and women, let us hope that the rot has not permeated into the Supreme Court of the land. Wow what a situation to be in.
As for Mr Asante(Rev), it is rather unfortunate to talk like that. Rev, why don't you advice the cheif justice to pospone the inauguration until after their deliberations. Is it that difficult to reason like this?
We all know how people who obfascate something, quickly try to legitimize, hide, lie, and sprints away as fast as their legs would carry them. I know in my heart of hearts that the Rev. is some how not happy with the inauguration. Not pleased with what is going on. It is the same old adage "fa ma Nyame" that is playing up in his mind.
It is this same "fa ma Nyame" that has brought us to this unfortunate situation. Instead of nipping things in the bud, we allow them to have very deep roots and producing stems with nasty thorns.
Leaders of communities, churches ect. stand up to be counted. Rally behind Nana Akuffo Addo to eradicate this canker of dishonesty from our democracy. It is better late to confront these evil deeds than never at all. Enough of sweeping things under the carpet in the name of democracy. No, no, no enough.
I am tired of not trusting my fellow Ghanaian. I want to be safe in Ghana in every sphere of my life.

Where in the constitution is it written, that a political party must attend the inuaguration of a president?
In the 2004 elections the NDC challenged the election results at the supreme court. Mills and Rawlings boykotted the inauguration of President Kufuor. Victor smith then announced they wouldn`t even watch it on TV.
Prior to the elections in 2008 Mills warned that the NDC would not entertain any attempt by the NPP to steal the verdict of the people again. He warned the nation to expect mayhem if the party suspects the results of the December polls were rigged in favour of the NPP. He threated to turn Ghana into Kenya if elections were rigged in favour of the NPP.

Rev, u see the power outage and water, fuel, gas shortage was close to elections which cud have weighed against the NDC.
But Rev, u see most Ghanaians interpreted it as a sabotage from NPP cos of Amina issue and Profls rumored death.
Now Ghanaians know how they behave , but NPP thinks we don't know their schemes. Rev, they can even dump dead bodies of women in Accra in yr 2000 just to make govt look bad.

With all due respect we do not really have a legitimate President.
What we have is a President imposed on us by the EC, and if I were Mahama, I would have waited for the Supreme Courts verdict on the case.
In any case all of us are waiting for justice to prevail.
