Africa's richest man and Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote has urged business owners and entrepreneurs to hire people who are more skilled and knowledgeable than themselves to help their businesses grow.
According to the founder of the Dangote Group, successful leadership is not about being the most knowledgeable person in an organisation but about surrounding oneself with capable and talented people.
“If you are going to hire people, make sure that the people that you are hiring are better than you. Don’t be the boss, you know,” he advised.

Dangote also encouraged entrepreneurs to remain focused on their goals and not allow difficulties to discourage them from achieving their ambitions.
“You should not allow anything to deter you from your vision or your target. Whatever you do, do not give up,” he stated.
He explained that challenges are a natural part of life and should not prevent people from pursuing their dreams.
“Life is all about challenges. Life is not going to be sweet if you don’t have challenges in life,” he said.
His remarks highlight the importance of effective leadership, hiring talented employees and remaining determined in the face of business challenges.
