A widely circulated video showing staff of Bills Micro Credit in a confrontation with a man alleged to owe the company GH¢6,000 has gone viral.

In the video, some agents alleged to be staff of Bills Micro Credit are seen engaging in a heated exchange with the man, while his wife is heard recording the incident in the background.

According to reports, the man, a tailor, secured the loan for the 20th time from the company and had been consistent with his repayments.

However, he allegedly defaulted on two recent weekly instalments of GH¢628, prompting the agents to visit his shop and attempt to lock it up over the outstanding debt.

“He will pay all the money today; you watch and see,” one of the agents is heard saying in the video.

The man’s wife, who was recording the incident, alleged that one of the agents threatened to slap her. She responded, saying, “Come and slap me. How much is your money? "

The debtor later reported that the confrontation escalated, resulting in him sustaining head injuries.

He has since lodged an official complaint with the police.

The man claimed that he had previously taken loans from Bills Micro Credit on 20 occasions and had always been consistent with repayments until the recent default.
