The court subsequently sought confirmation from the registrar, who verified that the passports had been deposited on the morning of June 5, 2026.
“The registrar confirmed that the passports had been deposited on the morning of Friday, June 5, 2026,” the report noted.
Following the confirmation, the court restored Abronye DC to his previous bail conditions, allowing him to continue enjoying his freedom pending the determination of the case.
However, the court cautioned him that any future breach of the bail terms would result in the revocation of the bail granted to him.
Abronye DC is currently facing a charge of false publication in a case brought by the State.
In May 2026, the High Court granted him bail after an earlier remand, with one of the conditions requiring him to deposit his passport with the court.
