It helped process patients much faster, meaning they were seen by physicians quite early in the day - they’d be seen by 11am after an 8 - 9am arrival. They’d be given medication or in dire more serious cases, an injection to bro g their fever down. They’d be able to eat again and go home to continue treatment. Nobody leaves their homes to come sleep on those hospital beds or eat the food there. Africans in general like to self-treat, and avoid annual bloodwork/checkups. That means, when they go to an ER, they’re very ill and need to be attended to within a short period of time. Unfortunately, the current system doesn’t enable that, hence, the sick aren’t seen till probably late afternoon. The heir condition would have worsened by then, leading to more admissions. Suddenly the bed occupancy rate jumps up - adding to the ‘no-bed-syndrome’ situation. I feel your pain. Hopefully they’ll find a solution, but in the meanwhile, lives are being lost and I’m sure your IGF has plummeted. Have a great weekend
