The court isn't against his withdrawal but the procedure he adopted was flawed. He didn't follow the prescribed procedure for withdrawal.

Lawyers do such thing to put pressure on judges.
They also do such things to change the panel for the case to restart. Note that the basic tenet of the law is the right to be heard. Therefore if Dame withdraws, the court w ... read full comment

They also do such things to change the panel for the case to restart. Note that the basic tenet of the law is the right to be heard. Therefore if Dame withdraws, the court will be forced to hear the case afresh with new lawyers wasting everyone's time and securing a new bench.

Dame still think he has that dubious power giving to him by Akufo Addo when he decided to manupulate the court system and jail innocent people like Atto Forson. I blame NDC for their weakness and corruption.
