Ex-Black Stars striker, Asamoah Gyan has complained bitterly about the neglect of colts football in the country.

According to him, the system he experienced toughened players and made them better than the academy system is doing now.

He believes that the Colts’ system, where players play day in and day out and every week, should be revisited.

Asamoah Gyan was speaking to Police TV in an interview when he made this known.

“We have all the facilities now, but for the academy system, players train but do not compete in any form of league to test them.

For the Colts football, we were tested regularly and made to use our brains.

Most coaches then only assign you and expect you to use your talent. However, now the Colts football has been relegated, but my manager and I are thinking about something,” he said.
