The Ghana High Commission in South Africa continues to warn Ghanaians from opening their businesses as xenophobic attacks on other African nationals in the country continue.

The issue of xenophobic attacks made news headlines in Ghana after a Ghanaian man, who has now been identified as Emmanuel Asamoah, was captured being attacked by members of an anti-immigration group in South Africa called March-and-March.

The full video of the said attack has now emerged, which showed the March-and-March members, South African activist, Victoria Africa, popularly known as Queen Vee, confronting the Ghanaian man and accusing him of being a criminal who must leave their country.

In the new video, Emmanuel Asamoah was forced to give details about himself, including his job as a ‘nail technician’ in South Africa.

Queen Vee said that Asamoah should not be doing nails in South Africa because it is a job any South African can do, since it requires no specialisation.

She told him to go back to his country and sack the Nigerians, whom she claimed had taken over in Ghana and described as “undesirables”.

“We don't need a Ghanaian man to come and do nails here. We've got enough talent in South Africa, capable South Africans who can do that. So you must go and do the same there in your country.

“Those Nigerians who are flocking to your country, taking opportunities there, must also go home and do the same so that Africa can rise. Nigeria is one of the richest countries, but Nigerians are all over the world. They are undesirable. Nobody wants them in their country because of the behaviour and the things that they do when they are in foreign countries,” she said.

She added, “Now you are carrying a bucket at 11:00 am. You have left the wealth in Ghana; you are here playing games. This is playing games. Now you're going to go and fetch water. This can't be correct. This cannot be correct. And we're not going to play with you guys.”

At the tail end of the video, the tear-jerking Ghanaian man, who was forced to tell Ghanaians living in South Africa to self-deport or be ejected.
