  RAWLINGS WAS THE CAUSE OF THE SHORTAGES OF ESSENTIAL COMMODITIES IN GHANA FROM HIS USELESS 1979 LOOTING/BREAKING INTO WAREHOUSES AND SELLING ALL PEOPLES' STOCKS OF ITEMS AT HIS SO-CALLED CONTROL PRICES WHICH WAS BELOW THE IMPORTED PRICES. WHAT THAT ACTION OF HIS LED TO WAS THAT, BY THE TIME HE HANDED OVER POWER TO LIMANN, ALL THE STOCKS OF ESSENTIAL COMMODITIES THE BUSINESSES HAD WRRE DEPLETED BECAUSE THE BUSINESSES DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO REORDER THE SAME QUANTITIES OF THEIR MERCHANDISE, SO THE LITTLE THEY COULD IMPORT WAS NOT ENOUGH AND PEOPLE HAD TO QUEUE TO BUY IN LIMITED QUANTITIES SO EVERYONE COULD GET A BIT!! THIS WAS THE LEGACY FROM RAWLINGS WHICH WAS BESTOWED TO LIMANN AND THE SAME RAWLINGS USED THAT TO TAKEOVER POWER AGAIN!!!
