Ghanaweb, don't misinform the public. In one breadth you said move to safety by sitting or lying and in another breadth you are advising people to keep the affected part lower than the heart. Which is which. n the case of the Nigerian singer, administration of pawpaw leaves as first aid would have saved the matter in the absenmce of medical drone services.

Which kind education?
The article is just a theory.
We want the farmers to teach us pratically what to do in this case.
Most of the snakes are in the bush where there is no ambulance or proffesional help.

I was bitten by snake once, at my calf, in a farm close to town, I just took of my shirt and tie it below my knee to slow down blood flow upwards, walked home, my dad gave me some fresh cassava leaves to chew and swallow, they got black stone from a neighbor, cut the affected part slightly with blade, attached the stone and it stuck there,, 5 hours later the stone came off, they washed it in milk, attach it again, and two hours later it came off and I was fine.

Our politicians are using the poor tax payers money to build mansion all over the place and also seek medical treatment abroad even for their children and wives and there is not even a snake venom for the poor man at the hospital for treatment when bitten by a snake. Yet we fight and kill ourselves for these selfish bofoons. Shame to the socalled "Messiahs" of Africa.

Torchlight, you are no doubt one of the Ghanaians with short memories but not to worry,a slight reminder may not be bad,our President and Atta-Mills in 2009 inherited a debt free economy after HIPIC,after death of Atta-Mills he was president for six long years and supervised the destruction of all small and medium sized enterprises rendering millions unemployed,is it different from the haircuts? He brought something called Dumsor, took bribe in office disgrace Ghanaians and all Africans and blackmen, finally finally he left us with a debt $21 billion with nothing to show, one year and still counting and its all been optics and nonsense propaganda, a colossal amount of $10 billion pumped into the economy according to BoG governor to forcibly keep the wobbly cedi standing,do you know what this money in the hands of a competent president can do?Go on pràise singing and dancing until the optics and propaganda wears off revealing the return of the cluelessness and incompetence.
