Soft-spoken charm, all innocent ways—
But sweetness ripens, then sometimes sours,
Like mangoes left out in the Harmattan hours.

Now some folks whisper, “Ah, look at him now—
Cool as a lizard on a hot roof tile somehow.
Cold and calculating? Well… people do say—
Ambition can harden the sugar away.”

They murmur of aircraft floating in lore,
Stories that drift like smoke under a door.
Not claiming it’s truth—oh no, heaven forbid!
Just funny how rumours grow legs like a kid.

They recall old Mills with his calm, steady light,
A man who could pray wrong into right.
He asked some questions—gentle but bold…
But answers? Ah—those never quite unfold.

And so we’re left asking, with eyebrows raised high,
“What happened back then?” as the years shuffle by.
The past, like a shadow, keeps stretching its length—
And sweet boys grow teeth when they grow into strength.

Yet here we stand laughing—because what else can we do?
History is a circus, and the jokes write themselves too.
