  What political party is this,calling itself the United Party? Alan by choosing this name for his party has told Ghanaiana that he belongs to the Danquah/ Busia political group. The United Party was formed by Busia and those who opposed Nkrumah and the CPP. It was the UP that advocated for the seccession of the Ashanti Region from Ghana when its members realised that Nkrumah and the CPP would be in poqer after independence. It is the same UP that introduced political violence to Ghana.It even banned the CPP from operating in the Ashanti Region. After independence its members resorted to terrorism to rs
  remove Nkrumah and the CPP from power. They resorted to bombings to eliminate Nkrumah and in rhe process killed and maimed several innocent Ghanaians..With the foreign enemies of Ghana especially the american CIA they managed to use the army to remove Nkrumah and the CPP from power in February,1966. With the UP having such an unpatriotic,violent background can Alan convince ghanaians that it is a parry worth voting for to rule Ghana? The UP is NPP in disguise,an appendix of the NPP to say the least. I can assure Alan that his United Party is dead on arrival.It will have no impact on Ghana's political landscape.

  Instead of finding ways to create job avenues, they are preoccupied with building markets across the country. No concrete efforts to modernize the agricultural sector and agro based industries, nor embark in vocational training so people can start their own businesses and employ others. So far nothing is done to address the widespread unemployment among the youth of Ghana hence the large number of people looking for job in the security sector.
