The political party further noted that the majority of the youth are applying to work in the security services due to the rising rate of unemployment.
“The sheer number of young Ghanaians applying to join the security services is a stark manifestation of the unemployment crisis that continues to rob our nation of its potential. If not addressed decisively, this situation threatens to fuel frustration, despair, and the rise of social vices across our communities.”
The statement additionally urged the government to tackle the growing unemployment rate among the youth.

According to the party, it is high time the government and other political leaders moved beyond empty promises and took concrete action to create jobs for the youth.
“The United Party (UP) urges the government to seize this moment to reset the national agenda, to restore dignity, create jobs, and rekindle hope among our teeming unemployed youth. Ghana’s young men and women deserve more than empty promises,” it added.
