Not long ago your “King of Kubala” was squatting on private and public land in Scotland. He depended on public charity for food. There are Ghanaian who have been forced by circumstances to beg on the streets of New York, London, etc. The point is such problems should be resolved in a compassionate manner. Not with animalistic brutality. Do not judge from a holier-than-thou pedestal when in fact there a Ghanaian beggars in Ghana itself.

What's wrong with you people? Yes we want to see the streets rid of beggars, sellers, filth, etc. but there are right and humane ways of accomplishing that. Regardless of where they might be from, all human beings deserve to be treated with dignity.

This young man should have been arrested. How can you applaud such behaviour? Many of these people come from the Sahel, a region suffering from massive insecurity as a result of jihadist violence. Millions have been displaced from their homes. In addition, we live in a part of the world where most people are poor. We have to accept things like this until we become richer and can provide good solutions for such problems. That will take generations. In the meantime we should treat everyone who comes to our country under such circumstances with compassion.
