  Those who run our healthcare system in Ghana lack the empathy, professionalism and the sense of urgency required to save human lives. Tbe dichotomy between the Ghana system and that of USA is not only the issue of facilities and equipment. The biggest gap appears to be the attitude of the doctors and the nurses. There is lack of accountability and basic respect for patients.

  Build a hospital yourself and see if this happens there you would come and pistsuch nonsense, you think they are not humans and your patient is more important than the rest of those there, people behaving like wild animals

  Fools always try to divert attention on key issues.
  Stuff offer's the poorest service with no sense of urgency. Very unprofessional, rude & total incompetence. Ridge has always been a death trap killing more than More than all deadly diseases combined. The first time I was admitted, I was shocked to see the night shift nurses laughing over the death of a patient. The said night relatives of the deceased combed the entire hospital looking for help. Not knowing the stuff have locked themselves in a room sleeping . They only appeared after the death of the patient & even making fun.
  Again I visited ridge just two weeks ago, a doctor left patients sitting down for hours without the nurses knowing his whereabout. When we got access to him , this Dr told me that I am talking too much because I tried explaining to him how the sickness started and symptoms I am having. Interesting this inexperienced Dr. Is roughly around 30yrs.
  Immediately I left, I saw him driving home meaning he spent just 1 hr on the said day attending patients
  Ridge is not an ideal hospital to recommend anyone to. You won't understand the pain unless you have been a victim.

  The usual stupid Ghanaians with baby mentality. How urgent a case is at the emergency depends on the cardiovascular and other parameters.
  The patient who is wailing due to a large open wound will need to wait for the silent client who cannot even cry out due broken ribs and internal bleeding.
  Our educational system has failed us. We seem to always be in a hurry but end up being late in even dying.
